Reign of Fire - minor spoilers

Broken Fang

First Post
Well my 6 yr old daughter and I went out to see it this morning. What do those of you who have seen it think?

We thought the dragons looked cool but over all the movie was pretty average.

Would it make for a good campaign?

a six year old in that movie?!?!

either gonna be very warped or a hard core gamer....or both:p

(not judging your decision to take her, only you know how she reacts)

I'm .... reluctantly ... being shanghaied into seeing it tonight. I'll let you know my feelings if and when I return. My expectations, shall we say, are low...

do you wiggle your nose to do that? got a wand? somatics? material component? how is this boing magic possible, let us know ashtal! please!

Saw it. It moves fast. One highlight was the retelling of a certain scene from a certain movie using painted sticks as light sabers.

Minimal plot, passable acting, nice dragons. The shot of the bull dragon at the climax outclasses the cgi work I've seen prior to this.

How good? I was telling myself, "If I didn't know dragons don't exist."

One major background hole. But I aint gonna tell you what it is. All I will say is, the dragons won the first round because certain people were bloody stupid.

Quintin: Paladin.

The Broad (I just saw the film, and I've forgotten her name): Cavalier

van Zan; Barbarian.

Over all, an entertaining flick of almost two hours. Nothing deep or meaningful. But worth seeing at the theater even if you do pay full price.

Yeah...she is pretty cool when it comes to movies. We were at the midnight previow of Fellowship of the Rings (back when she was 5). She loves Braveheart, Excalibur, Star Wars I, II, IV, V, and VI, Big Trouble in Little China...etc. etc. She also loves to watch me play Dungeon Seige and NWN but really hasn't shown the intrest inplaying yet. She is also a voracious reader...my wife taught her to read when she was 3-4. Overall she is pretty cool for a little girl! :D Though I might be somewhat biased! :D

~2 hrs of brainless entertainment

Easily the best theatrical depiction of dragons since Dragonslayer (which will always have place in my heart). I liked the holes torn in the wings. Nice touch.

Not going to win any awards, though. And I would have liked to see the "dragon conquest" filled out a little more.

Ah well. I'm glad I saw it on the big screen once. I'll wait for the DVD to see it again.
