HISTORY: Arthur was brought up in a very well to do family. His father had already been a military man and Arthur was determined to follow in his footsteps.

When not on duty Arthur can be found reading books or writing letters. He is also not one to miss happy hour at the local pub and catch up with his friends.

Arthur is about 1,75m tall. He wears his dark bown hair neatly combed to the side and sports a thin mustache. He has a thin figure but does not appear sickly. He also has quite a bit of stamina one would not suspect from him at first sight.
He tries solving conflicts using his words first but will not hesitate to draw his revolver should the need arise.

He cannot stand it when someone is grossly chaotic and will often bellow at lower rank marines if their apperance does not meet his standards.

Appearance: Rell is some-what short for a Grell, but very board and heavily built. His hair is black and cut fairly short. His mutton-chops push regulations as far as possible, and working with machinery all day long means his hands and parts of his uniform are often grease stained. Whenever possible he carries his un-regulation battleaxe he calls ‘Deary’s Kiss.
Personality: Most of the time, Rell is a calm and cool infantryman who have an affinity for machinery and tinkering with his hands. He likes his job and likes being in the military and would do nothing to jeopardize that. But a few times in the past, in close combat he has flown into a wild rage.
Background: Rell grew up in the slums of the great metropolitan XX, the capital of Grand Batista with others of his race. He grew quickly and was big for his age, running with the street kid gangs there. But he also was drawn to working on old pieces of junk from the nearby junkyards. When he was of age of adulthood, he joined the Royal Imperial Navy, as he thought it would be the best place to be around machines and ships all the time. At first he was a bit afraid of the sea and the rolling of the ships, but he has come to love this life. Plus when not performing his duties as an Royal Marine, he is allowed to help repair and maintain various machines and engines on the Cruiser… he is very happy indeed.

For more generations than any of them can remember, the men of the Martin family have viewed service in the Imperial Navy as an absolute duty. As aristocrats and upstanding citizens of the Empire, they have certain obligations to the crown and the common good, and are the sort to take their responsibilities very seriously. However, for one of their own to make his career, not in the Navy, but in the Royal Marines, of all places, was not only déclassé, but quite beyond their ability to comprehend. Commanding from the bridge of a warship is a dignified occupation for a gentleman. Clattering about on deck with a rifle is not. When David, home from his first year at university, announced at a family gathering to which Officer's Training Corps he had attached himself, his mother nearly swallowed her tongue. But no amount of cajoling could shake his determination, and no amount of string-pulling could get the Marines to lose his paperwork. His mind was set, and the Martin men are nothing if not single-minded.

As expected, David graduated at the top of his class, and his periodic evaluations have been exceptional - he is developing a reputation as a real up-and-comer. Still in the process of getting his feet wet in his first posting - learning to command men older and more experienced than himself - David was unexpectedly reassigned.

David is a member of the Royal Marine Boxing Association, with a good number of wins under his belt. He is also an avid pianist, though he does not have much chance to practice aboard ship.

David is tall and slender, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist: the very picture of a young officer in the prime of his life. His fine red hair is shorn close. His freckled face is thin and serious, with a long, aquiline nose, and cornflower-blue eyes. His expression is neutral and hard. His posture is determined and upright.

PERSONALITY:
Young David is an ambitious man with something to prove. Accustomed to excelling at every task to which he puts his hand, he is methodical, driven, and precise.
