D&D General Richard Whitters poll on twitter, "Will you be buying the newest edition of D&D?"

Don't you mean "X - the social media formerly known as twitter"?
I for one will continue to call it Twitter. "X" sounds like a name a 14 year old came up with because he was desperately trying to make himself sound cool.
I think you are meant to answer on his X feed. We already know 90% of ENWorlders are going to buy it.
I'm pretty sure we had a massive poll thread here that showed ~53% intend to buy it.

That was before the art started to drop. A tone of peopl who had said "no" before previews started have explicitly changed their minds.

That's because that's pretty much what happened.

Yeah, but many of them were wrong. ;) :p

I think a ton (or a tone; that might me more intriguing) who said yes or maybe before the previews started dropping have changed their mind to no. I've seen very little positive feedback on the previews. Granted, there's some selection bias where I get my news, but still.

I would pit thst down entirely to selection bias, lol, I have not seen that. The reaction to the previews has been quite positive...? I have seen people who Saif they changed their minds from "no" to "yes" based on the previews, I cannot recall seeing anyone go the other way now that art and promo stuff is rolling in.

I've certainly managed to unsell quite a few copies among my gaming groups once I told them I didn't see a lot of value to the new books.
