WELCOME TO FEAT SURIVOR Round 18
Coming into these final rounds I must admit that the competition is much closer than I would have suspected. In Round 17 POINT BLANK SHOT was eliminated, losing by just 8 votes!! (from a total of 341). So, who's next against the wall (and will there be any point putting them there should the last of the ranged weapon feats be eliminated)?

Improved Initiative

Woohoo! First vote! I'm giddy with happiness.

I actually kinda like Imp. Init. though. Just have to vote for something...
 

Getting tight. Bye bye Rapid shot. I'd keep you if you applied to more than just bows, but, according to WOTC Customer Service, I cannot apply you to slings just as I cannot apply rapid reload. Twink archers must die!
 


So people who are for some reason voting for Improved Initiative:

What feat is the character who isn't an

A) Archer
B) Melee Bashing Guy
C) Dex-based Melee Fighter

going to take? Because compartively that's a whole lot of the classes who *can* benefit from II but not those others...

Well as they say, there can be only one! Admittedly, in the case where this was said there actually ended up being several (a sequel, another sequel, a TV series, and finally a movie of the TV series - which ended up changing who the one was - by making him two!) but let's not go into that. :confused:

At this point, I'm just voting for Improved Initiative because I find it to be the least interesting of the remaining feats. +4 to one roll per combat just doesn't make the game more fun for me in the way that playing around with Finesse or Power Attack does.

Besides, we're down to four feats. Universal relevance is a bit of a weird criterion to be using to judge them at this point, I think.

Improved Initiative is really the best of the four anyway though. If many fights in your campaign aren't mainly decided by the first round's actions, then you either have a weird mix of PCs and enemies or else one of the teams isn't using the initiative to best advantage...
