Rules bits we already know

Hey - what about Tieflings as racial talent trees?

So, your first-level Human ability might be "Fiendish Descent," which turns you into a Tiefling. You could also choose something like "Angelic Descent," or "Elven Descent," or ...

Thoughts?
Man, I wish. Feats/talent trees that work almost as racial templates would be an extremely logical solution.

On the levels, it is mentioned that the levels are regarded in terms of "tiers":

1-10: Heroic tier
11-20: Paragon tier
21-30: Epic tier

And from the playtest document, we know that there is a class ability that grants +2 to all saves to the rest of the party.

Also, in a video interview with Andy Collins, Andy mentions making a choice between taking the abilities "Supreme Cleave" or "Massive Strike".

As far as magic spells go, the fire cleric in the playtest document uses some kind of spell that creates entangling fire snakes.

Updated with those bits, except the saves bonuswe don't know who or how does that) and the entangling snaes, which we don't know if it's an actual "entangling fire snakes" spell or something else highly flavored, like the "psion" in the article.

We know nothing really.

There are a lot of assumptions being made on what is basically very skimpy information, some of which is claimed to be "not set in stone" by the designers themselves ( I seem to recall that in connection with the possible inclusion of the changeling).

A large part of the information could be campaign specific, early playtesting (+2 to everyones saves) or just flavour (entangled by fiery snakes).

More than 3 classes, 11 or less .
Spears, swords and great swords are still available.
Item Creation no longer uses XP.

When we did this playtest, we had eight playable classes--none of them psion. To preserve our ongoing narrative, Bruce and I decided that the best stopgap available was to use the wizard mechanics, but continue to describe him as a psion.

Assuming the quote above is correct.

8 classes? that would mean that more than one get the shaft, no? Ofc it could just be that only 8 classes were ready at that time...

A planetouched race is even more rare on a prime world than a half-elf or half-orc.
Maybe it used to be, but until there is more information on the default setting, you don't know that for sure. Maybe the default setting will have tieflings literally around every corner.

I think what I'm trying to say, is that the Tiefling has moved on, and you're now the crazy stalker ex.

The only classes not yet mentioned as present or being played are Druid, Monk and Bard.

So, we have...

Barbarian
Cleric
Fighter
Paladin
Ranger
Rogue
Sorcerer
Wizard

Hmmm....

I don't think they'll have two arcane casting classes, so zoink the Sorc. Ranger doesn't make much sense without the Druid, so zoink that. That might give us:

Barbarian
Cleric
Fighter
Paladin
Rogue
Wizard

+ 2? It'd be a bit weird to go without the druid...but that would still leave one slot open...hmm...if they have the druid, they might keep the ranger around?

Possibly...
