Boral's pitchfork takes the acolyte in the throat. Shaking the corpse off the tines the body tumbles into the pit. Kurl's blessing upon Narancasta is strengthened by the torc but weakened by the warrior's lawful nature. Such is the way of the gods. Luckily Kurl's god was not offended by the action. Tender whirls through the battleground cutting and bashing at beastmen as he goes. Two fall under his onslaught.

Franko's magical rope tosses a beastman over the edge of the stairs. He bounces a couple of times on the side before splashing into the underground sea. Homer's attack is close but his sword misses by a finger-length. Hank's hands turn blue in the now strangely grey atmosphere of the cavern. The wolf chomps into another beastman's lower leg, tumbles him to the ground, and then savagely mauls it.

The beastmen with their holy men dead and nearly two thirds of their number down and dead or dying scatter or cower. Their action enrages the Chaos Lord who whirls his flaming flail at Narancasta. The warrior must be truly blessed because the attack goes wide.

Narancasta spins his blade around in his hand until he grips the blade like a long stabbing knife. He thrusts it down behind the black breastplate and into the Chaos Lords chest hilt deep. There is a moment as the Chaos Lord roars but then his body turns to magma and collapses in a smoking pool. His armor and flail lie at the edge of the pit and coins from the offering lie scattered about the steps and upper level.

GM: Combat is essentially over.

[sblock=OOC]Scott, you have uncanny luck with the ENWorld roller. No wonder you use it. ;)

Deuce, a 3 on the Deed die lets you perform some sort of combat maneuver. Not that it matters at this point, lol.

Hank calls the wolf to his side. he gives it words of good praise and scratches it behind the ears, "Good boy. you have served well. now return in peace." He releases the animal back to where he came from.

Tender says aloud, "Well then, I shall happily accept the surrender of our defeated beastmen." He then waves his weapon and shield at them menacingly in an effort to have them admit defeat.

Kurl cackles, "Yes, curs! Kneel and grovel for your lives. My dread lord demands obedience!"

Boral clears his throat uncomfortably and says, "Sorry to ruin your moment, Kurl, but why don't we see to the fallen villagers? Perhaps some might survive their wounds. After all, you priests of various faiths can heal others, right?"

With nowhere to run and their leaders slain the beastmen throw down their spears and cower. Hank releases the wolf and it disappears back to whatever dimension that it was summoned from. Alas, the villagers have all sustained terrible injuries and none have survived. It is a tragic loss of life but you can take comfort in the fact that a resurgent evil has been banished.

Each of the beastmen carried a spear and the Chaos Lord carried his spiked flail and wore black iron plate mail armor both of which are still lying near a pool of cooling magma. There is a large amount of gold and silver coins that have been spilled as they were carried from the dock up to the sacrificial pit. It will take a fair amount of time to collect it all.
