SG1: An Old Friend (Wik Judging)

ooc:stats updated

The wizard searches the fallen bodies for hidden weapons, gear, letters, or money. Genithar spends a long time examining the abberant mark, very interested in it and actually takes out an ink jar, pen and papyrus to copy it down. ooc:know arcna check?

The elf then suggests, 'perhaps we should check the down stairs for anything useful, before moving to the work chambers?'

OOC: I am a bit confused, where is the workshop from where we are now, I was under the understanding it was down stairs. Has this already come up and I missed it or have we not found out yet.

Genithar's examinations of the mens turn up a few coins (12 gold Galifars in total), a brace of smokesticks, and various weapons. None have any notes or other indication of their purpose here.

The aberrant mark is difficult to identify, but unlike the first one he saw, Genithar knows this is once associated with pain and wound inflicting.

You are on the second floor, southern section. The southern section is Aldus' living quarters; the northern (connected by a bridge out the door the rogue went through) is the workshop. You have not yet seen what is downstairs. You are currently in room D upstairs.

While I, too, am curious about what we might find downstairs, I feel that our first job is to free Aldus. Let us head on to the workshop, but go carefully. We should hunt like the stalking cat, not like the baying hounds. Simply put, we just don't have the numbers here.
Corran hands one of the two scrolls to Matthew as he heads out the door after Lorth.

"I agree, this is not a place eo be explored, we need to free Aldus and if possibly figure out why the guard is behaving like this." with that Mathew heads toward the door.

OOC: Two definite votes for go north (Corran, Mathew), one for do something (Lorth), and two undecided. DM/Aldus doesn't get to vote. ;)

The wizard nods at his companions words, finishing his sketch of the aberrant mark. Leaving the galifars, as he is no thief, Genithar does commandeer the smokesticks, sticking them into his pack (ooc, two of them?).

Standing tall, the elf asks Corran, 'My freind, can u spare any small amount of Balinar's gifts to heal me slightly? I'm certain, should I take a single hit, I shall fall. I agree we should make haste to Aldus, but we should also make sure we have the chest's aid and if we could find Doggie, our success in battle would not doubt be assured.'

Turning to Lorth, the Wizard asks, 'Can you quickly scout the downstairs? Perhaps doggie is there? If not, I say we proceed with haste to the worktower, with our able monk of Dol Arrah scouting the way as well. I shall have my spells ready to go and will use the tanglefoot bag and my crossbow as needed. Sound good?'

Corran hears Genithar's request, and considers it. Balinor would assist me in easing a small amount of your pain, but then I would only have a single such ability left. I thought it might make more sense for me to hold on to that ability in case someone is hurt enough to be approaching death.
