Awesome! Looking forward to it. I missed the Kickstarter, so obviously I'll have to pick up what I want separately.

Oh for sure take a look then as I think its the exact kind of expansion you are looking for.
Each Cursed Scroll adds a bit of mechanical depth as well.

Your spell book has the spells you know of
You choose which to memorize , numbers as per the table
You can add spells to your book by
You can create a scroll of a spell you can cast by spending x time and y gp
The point of scrolls is:
-to give a minion who needs it for a mission

Id let clerics choose which spells they get each day (subject to divine whim) but not let them learn from scrolls
Not sure what to do with witches

- copying then from another spellbook
- copying them from a scroll (which uses up the scroll)
You can create a scroll of a spell you can cast by spending x time and y gp
The point of scrolls is:
-to give a minion who needs it for a mission
- a backup of critical spells in case you crit fail a casting
- so you can cast obscure spells without wasting a slot
