It's not really it's own class, just a type of druid in the Eberron Campaign Setting book.

Okay, cool. I didn't notice it. I'll check it out tonight. Do you know the basics well enough to post some info?

Just dropping a line saying I'm still here. I'm home for the weekend and my internet access will be sporadic as I have to fight the rest of the family for the computer. But I'll be back at school Sunday night or Monday.

And about the misstrust that often plagues PbP, I totally agree! Playing a party where wll know and trust eachother is easier in the long run as well.

Well, if you are a player who would rather work with the DM than against him/her ... if I ever have an opening in a game I'm DMing I'll keep you in mind.

Concentration

Okay, cool. I was a bit confused about the duration, as well. Does that mean it lasts as long as I can maintain Concentration on it +2 rounds? What's the DC of a COncentration check without distraction due to the issues listed? Does it automatically succed if I concentrate without interruption, effectively making the spell's duration limitless?
If you could concentrate on it all day it would last all day. It is a standard action to maintain concentration that does not provoke attacks of opportunity and you may move up to 1/2 your normal movement. There is not DC for maintaining concentration normally, but if someone comes up and damages you or pretty much anything else you will need to make a concentration check as specified in the Skill Description.

There is the [LEF] Familiar Concentration Feat but I have not idea where it is... in url=http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=products/fracc/177380000]Lost Empires of Faerun[/url] which requires Caster level 9 and the Improved Familiar feat.

Child of Winter, Vermin Companion, and Calm Animals

Also, can I affect the swarm as normal animals with a Handle Animal check? If not, what's the chance of me getting a spell with a similar effect to Calm Animals as a Wizard spell? Even if it only worked on rodents, that would be a big help if a swarm went nuts on me or my companions.
I would not worry about the swarm going berserk too much. It will only last 2 rounds past concentration. I would say that because of the spell description that you could not affect the swarm with Handle Animal. You would be going through a lot of work to quell a 1rst level spell. Tactical placement can prevent any problems.

The [ECS] Child of Winter feat from the Eberron Book requires you to be able to Spontaneously cast Summon Natures Ally and be of a non-good alignment.

There is a Spontateous Summoning feat and I have not idea where it is, but I suspect it is in the Complete Divine or Exalted Deeds and someone else is borrowing my books so I cannot say for sure. Child of Winter would allow Calm Animals to work on Vermin and give you the ability to summon different types of vermin for Summon Natures Ally. Something to look into if you would like to be able be a vermin person! ;)

[ECS] Vermin Companion: Requisites - Druid 3, non-good alignment, and Child of Winter.
You can get the Giant Wasp at 4rth level.

Half-Ogre Template From Dragon
+12 to strength for a +1 Level Adjustment is not quite balanced, so I will have to say no to that. The minumum level adjustment would be about +2 or +3, or have some racial HD associated as some have suggested.

The Sequestered Cleric
Lets see, the [UA] Cloistered Cleric Variant and then some...
I hesitate to give 8 skill points to and more Rogue Skills, but I will give this it a twirl and see what happens
It does not seem to be stepping on too many toes here

Base Class [UA] Cloistered Cleric
HD: D6
BAB:Weak
Saves: Strong Will and Fort

Armor: None
Weapons - The Wizard Group
Spells: As cleric + Knowledge domain and add Knowlege Domain Spells to the Cleric Spell List
Skills: 8+ Search, Gather Info, and Appraise

You still can cast spells in armor, but you are not proficient in any. If you take a class that gives you armor proficiency you will be able to cast in it as normal.

My previous might appear a little bit disjointed and mix questions from different people together, but I think the answers are all there.

I actually like the lack of trust found in PbP games, it can create rather interesting charcter interactions. As long as the Players are mature enough to realize when to reduce antagonistic or hindering tendencies. I had a few instances like that in the PbP game I'm playing in with Rystil Arden that is found in my Sig. It was very intense and leads to interesting party dynamics. As long as everyone is mature and can take interparty conflict without it getting personal, it can greatly increase the value of the game.

Now, if they do not know when to tone it down, then it becomes a problem and it can be a fine line to walk in the game.

As long as we are having fun creating characters lets also think of the type of campaign you want - what you would like to accomplish and so on... plot elements, organizations or what ever.

It can be something as simple as Silver Flame or as complex as The Blood of Vol, The Silver Flame, Dragons and Aundair.

Something as specific a: we want to work against Karnath as agents of crown of Aundair in a hunt for Siberies Shard intems that will mostly take place in ruins in Xendrik.

Things could not possible start until I have an idea about that.

What do you guys want to do?

Yes, I am definitely a player who likes to play with the DM rather than against him. I am myself a DM, and I know how frustrating it is when wills clash and there is no resolving it in "peacefull" terms.

[start rant]As for what FX said about trust/lack of it, in PbP games, I tend to agree. However, the problem with PbP games are the way we communicate. Harsh words don't loose their edge, because you don't see the one typing it grinning friendly while typing. Misstrust between the characters often become confused with misstrust between the players, etc. When playing table-top, you have body language, tones, etc etc to take the edge of things, and this is often absent on forum games. I've lost players just because of this here on EnWorld a few times; bickering between characters have expanded to petty bickering between the players. Comments about minor things have started arguments, and afterwards it gets apparent that one player or the other forgot a smiley in one post, to take off the edge.
Well, to sum my ranting up; I agree with FX, but often it leads to uncomfortable situations on forums, chats etc. [/end rant]

About the Campaign:
As previous mentioned, I am not all that familiar with Eberron. I only read about the parts I needed (Psions, Riedra, feats etc), so most of the names, organisations(?) etc you mentioned I am unfamiliar with. It might suit Sheilika though, seeing as she is from a remote place (I think she is, though :p ).
However, I do like games with somewhat of a spesific goal, Plot-twists and plots that involve the characters. (Something premade adventures never do.)

Oh, and here is the First draft. Still need to buy equipment though, allthough I am not really sure what to buy yet :)

Info:
Sheilika is a young girl from the continent of Sarlona. What she does on Khorvaire is not known. In fact, she is not entirely sure why she is there herself. She was brought up in a noble family totaly devoted to The Inspired. When she was about ten years of age, her first psychic abilities started to show. At first, she did not think any of it, her parents were both acomplished psions, after all. It was not untill her twelth year that she realized that her abilities differed from her parents. Where they were able to do all sorts of things, what Sheilika was able to do was bring forth a small dagger out of nothingness. She tried to hide the fact from her parents, embarrassed that she would never become as good as they were to manipulate the forces of the mind. At fifteen she ran away. That was when she met Moulan, an agent of The Thousand Eyes. She was taken under Moulans wing, and soon she was able to control her powers over her MindBlade (as Moulan said it was called) more properly. Now, at age ninteen, Moulan took her to Khorvaire, presumably on a quest for The Thousand Eyes. Moulan left her to her own a few weeks ago, telling her "Stay put dear Shei. I will be back soon, and then we will do what is needed of us. Be safe." But she did not come back, and Sheilika is now on her own.

The young girl usually wears clothes of dark purple, bordering on black. Her dark hair is cut short, and her eyes are usually downcast around strangers. She is shy and not talkative with people. With the few people she considers her closest friends (Like Moulan), she is as an open book, though. For her friends, she would do anything. In combat, she still got a lot to learn; her training with Moulan was far from finnished when they left Riedra, but she tries her best.[/sblock]

I too wouldn't mind going on a specific quest designed to be about a level or two long. That will be a shakedown period ... a time for getting into character, learning how to work together, etc. Beyond that, I figure the longterm goals might come out of something that happens during the first couple of levels. For me, this will be the first time I've played in Eberron ... so to be too specific just isn't possible.

Well, and of course, there is that. I'm not even sure I've been accepted into the game because there are to be some chosen out of the eight. So, before I put too much thought into long-term goals, I wouldn't mind having that little piece out of the way. I'm not trying to pressure or anything, because I realize that some players have only stated interest and not given anything to choose from. So I'm not pointing a finger, just making an observation that I'd like to know I am in it for the long haul before making too many plans.

Oh, and about the AmorFati rant - I agree. PbP games are hindered by the lack of being able to interpret body language ... and the time it takes to get through an encounter. And the fact that anyone can flip back through the thread and find exactly what was said and quote it and whatnot. in tabletop, encounters go by much more quickly and general ideas get remembered - not specific words. Thus, while I love tabletop games that may involve lack of trust, I like PbP games that everyone just assumes they want to cooperate to succeed. But that is just my opinion - one valid opinion among many other valid opinions.
