Exceot when it's clear painted in an -ism.Defaulting back to 3e or 2e is like 70% of 5e's selling points 'round these parts.
Hence why it's weird people want to default to multi decade old problematic lore and mechanics when good lore and mechanics are RIGHT THERE.
This is why I keep saying 5e is the "How do you do, Fellow Kids" edition. Because it feels like old people and people who want to be old people trying to appeal to what they think younger people want and finding success only due to lack of true competition.
