Smallville Season 6---11/16/06 "STATIC"

Well, not every DC Hero has to be active at this point in time. Clark could just meet a fearless Air Force cadet named Hal Jordan. Maybe a father/daughter illusionist act, Zatara & Zatanna, to showcase Clark's vulnerability to magic. A geeky science-wiz dreaming of one day becoming a superhero, named Ted Kord.
Or perhaps an up-and-coming cartoonist named Kyle (can't recall his last name, but was a GL for a while after Hal went psycho)? Maybe Clark is helping Chloe look up a story at a circus featuring the Flying Graysons?

This kind of the idea for whenever a "hero" pops up on the show. They aren't established as being active superheroes yet. Whenever rumors of Batman appearing would crop up, it was always Bruce prior to becoming the Dark Knight. Green Arrow is the first to noticeably buck this trend, having a hero costume and established 'rep.'

I still wish they could bring Batman into Smallville, but at this point I would take a comment from Chloe or an article about a man in bat suit running around catching criminals in Gotham.

But wasn't there a reference to the Queen's shipwreck on a Daily Planet headline a few seasons ago? The hints were dropped for him as well...

One of the first episodes mentioned Oliver Queen missing after a shipwreck.
It was the pilot episode, mentioned on the copy of the Planent that Lionel Luthor was reading as he and a non-bald young Lex were flying out to Smallville so that LuthorCorp could buy the Ross family cream corn factory.

Similar note there was a headline on the copy of the Planet when Lex was in Belle Reeve about an ambassador from Thymiscara at the U.N. Building ;)

Wait. If Lionel was reading that when Lex still had hair, the Oliver was shipwrecked when he was, what, 10?

No wonder he's such a badass!
