When is that one supposed to air?
Well I was mistaken about MM being in this Justice one. It will however feature 4 of 5 JLers from various incarnations: Green Arrow, Aquaman, the Flash and Victor Stone aka Cyborg. (I counted Clark as one since hey he's a founding member after!) MM apparently is slated to appear in the following ep, Laybrinth. Both of them coming in January/Feb of 2007. Currently I think the CW will let Smallville do reruns until December with then new eps to follow (Subterran being the first followed by Hydro, then Justice. (Which I think should be damn awesome. I loved their choice of the Flash if nothing else. Especially since now Bart Allen is the new Flash.)

I kinda felt bad for Clark since he pretty much got the B plotline for the episode. But at least we're seeing signs of "investigative reporter" in how he handled getting information from the various police folks.

I'll freely admit I was LMAO when Clark stepped on the first half-eaten Oreo cookiee. I could just imagine Clark and MM sitting at a table talking while eating Oreos and drinking milk. Perhaps even a bit of dialogue about the earth custom of dunking them in milk before eating.

Interesting to see the ol' MB up to his old tricks, especially how he handled Chloe's hacking into the LuthorCorp database and the "cover-up" for Level 33.1 (nice to see it wasn't totally forgotten about after it's brief mention in Season 4).

Nice to see Jimmy getting a chance to "save the day," especially with such "old-school" tech. Other than that, the whole Lex/Lana plotline could have been ditched, as it was almost painful to watch. As for the "shocking last 5 minutes"... well, I guess since Lana is in bed with the devil, they might as well make it official.

Crap.

I was really looking forward to seeing Supes v. Batista, and got what? A minute and a half, with the rest of it filled in by Lana/Lex drama and Jimmy Olsen? I've never liked Lana, and now it seems she's sucking the cool out of Lex.

Bah.

I really liked the episode.

You see Clark finally realizing that there are uses for his powers which eclipse saving his friends. He knew Lana/Lex were in trouble, yet he also knew that he had to deal with the zoner. This is what Oliver has been telling him...it is getting through.

Then we saw that the "friends" can actually save themselves without Clark's help. Nice.

The downside...some of the worst pseudo-science yet with the "frequency" stuff.

And I didn't know that was Martian Manhunter! Cool.

Ditto on thinking Clark took another major step toward his investigative reporter career. But if Marrow-sucking guy wasn't a phantom, what was he? Was he something that was of particular interest to Martian Manhunter? (Going to have to check Wikipedia since I'm not too familiar with the charater)

I get that he must like Oreo's, but why does he only eat half of one then throw it on the ground? :D

The "shocking" last five minutes were just confusing to me. From the previews I was thinking Lex was going to show Lana his secret "Clark must be a freak room" (whatever happened to that, anyway?), especially with the build up of Lana talking about how meteor freaks are a threat. But what we got was "You hate meteor freaks too? Cool! Lets get married!" Like her pregency didn't have anything to do with it. Or that Lex is a meteor freak as well. Okay, so he's Youthful Bald Guy, but he was at one time under the delusion that he was a lot more.

I thought that was what he was going to tell her all his theories on Clark as well.

Honestly I don't think it's Lana that's "sucking" the cool from Lex. It might be the fact he's a) no longer facing off against his father and b) doesn't seem to have a true agenda at the moment. In any case them getting married...yeah wasn't surprised.

Overall, I'll just wait until January to see what the "new" JL does about...whatever.

(Maybe Batista not the only super powered Zoner we'll see.)

Interesting episode to say the least. Didn't like the fact taht there was more going on in the world of Lex/Lana than in the world of Clark, but wht can you do about it. I know the show is supposed to be based off the comics, but a question regarding that. Did Lex/Lana divorce? At least imo the marriage won't last anyway, and hopefully losing Lana will seriously push Lex over the edge.
