So, are we still going to be doing this when we're 70?

I get the distinct impression that GenCon 2030 is going to look a lot like a Shriner's Convention - a buncha old farts zipping around in motorized scooters while wearing funny hats... ;)
Is it wrong to say that that sounds like helluva heck of a fun?

:D Got me there, KS. :D

How's the family? That baby of yours turns two in a few months, right? I hope all is well! :)

FAmily's great, Mark. Thanks for asking. :) Miranda indeed turns two this August. She has quite a forceful and stubborn personality, which she gets from her mother. :)

My boy, Sam, is a very cool kid. He has this wierd habit of spouting off commercial slogans..."If it's wet it's from Wammo!". The other day we were getting a pizza, and he asked if we could get a P'Zone from Pizza Hut. I told him that we weren't going to Pizza Hut that night because mom and dad wanted to try something else. To which he responded "Yeah, but don't you guys know they are stuffed with fresh veggies"? He's only 4 1/2.

I'm going to be in Chi-Town in June for a seminar, unfortunately a bit too early for the next Chicago gameday. Too bad. :(

CMG Mark was playing before I was born.

I've been playing for 21 years at this point. Though I don't always play the same genre. I do a couple of years in one genre then a couple of years in another, just got on a horror kick about 3 months ago.

Here is what I imagine it will be like when I'm 70 and retired.

I'll finally have the time to build my ultimate gaming table (which I'm not going to describe because I do want to build and market it). I will invite all my other geriatric role-playing friends over for marathon sessions.

I'll finally be able to play for 5 - 10 days straight again like I used to when I was a kid.

woohoo geriatric gaming here I come.

Put me on the waiting list to buy one if you can somehow integrate the Barcalounger into it.

What would you do if you found out your 85 year old grandma was really slaying orcs and casting spells when she tells the family she's going to her "knitting circle" . Just a thought that popped into my head...

Maybe there is really a huge senior citizen population that games and we just don't know about it. That would be....kind of scary.

All I know is I'm gaming till I die...and then I might come back and haunt the next generation of gamers....give them some inspiration from the perspective of someone's who really IS undead, ya know?

Me too! I'll be in Chicago for work (and fun!) from 7 to 14 June. I'm planning on going to Games Plus on 8 June. Within 24 hours of my arrival, I intend to visit the FLGS - I'm an uber-geek!:p :D

Sorry about my OT post. :o
