Excellent...now I can tell those haters(Cyclons) of humanity your weakness...heheheJohn Crichton said:Caffinated. That is if I drank tea.
I like my space battles with caffine...
I have a hard time buying a warship that isn't set up for multiple watches. In the real world if at least one watch isn't off duty getting a couple of hours rest, they would just be getting in the way of the folks on duty.LrdApoc said:In fact it brought back a lot of memories of my time in the service because of the long hours and exhaustion points. Granted we never got that bad but I think everyone did a great job channelling that frustration, anger and even the giggle point of exhaustion.
I've never served in the military but it kinda makes sense as the entire human race is at stake. They needed all pilots, techs and officers working overtime just to stay ahead of the enemy. Add to it that they didn't exactly have proper time to prepare for the attacks and they may be short in many key areas.Krieg said:Finally...

Heck even when we went into Kuwait we managed to squeeze in a couple of hours of sleep...
A warship is accustomed to performing high intensity operations for extended periods of time. That is what the crew is trained for. Running constant air-ops for five days straight is nothing to the crew of an aircraft carrier (to use the closest terrestrial example).John Crichton said:I've never served in the military but it kinda makes sense as the entire human race is at stake. In addition space is at such a premium on such a vessel that there are more personnel than work stations. The off-duty watch would have no place to work and would actually be in the way due to the space constraints.
Having all the watches running 24/7 is actually less efficent and would hamper crew performance rather than aid it.
As I mentioned it didn't ruin the show for me, just one of the little details that hurt my suspension of disbelief.
