So who's ready for LOST?

I'm rewatching the old seasons, and getting hyped for the, well, 11 episode season that's about to start. Who's excited? Who's frustrated?

Why did everyone hate Nikki and Paulo so much? Ana Lucia? And can we please not have any actors leave this show prematurely this year because of criminal activities or personal issues (or because the fans were whining)? I want the show to get a chance to do what it wants.

Is that show still on?

Seriously though, I'd give Season One a grade of "A" to "A-"; Season Two a "B-"; Season Three a solid "C"; based upon that direction I'm not all that sure that I'll even attempt watching Seaon Four.

The show goes a hell of a lot better if you watch it 6 episodes in a day instead of one a week. They're not great at episodic TV, but if you watch the episodes for the characters instead of the mystery, you should be good.

I thought Ana Lucia was great.

Hopefully the WGA will find the Directors agreement negotiable. There may still be time to get the last 5 episodes done this year.

Here's hoping that John Locke DIES this year. :]

I thought they held off on Lost specifically to have it on hand for the strike. Why only 11 episodes?

Even though they held it off for viewing that does not mean production didn't cease because of the writers strike. Lost, like many other shows, only got scripts for 11 episodes written before the strike. Once a script is done filming can continue even after the strike and can be aired anytime. By holding episodes until around now the network can air original program while its competitors are showing reruns. At least until their 11 episodes run out as well.

Given that a person can be both excited and frustrated, I will rate them both on a scale of 1-10.

Excited: 9
Frustrated: 3

I don't get nearly as frustrated as many other posters I have seen here. That said, I would like to see the episodes have less flashback (or flashforward) and more "here and now" plot.
