Sorcerers and Sudden Metamagic Feats

But because the sorcerer or bard has not prepared the spell in a metamagic form in advance, he must apply the metamagic feat on the spot.

I dunno, this part suggests to me that glass is right. Wizards did not prep the spell in a metamagic form to begin with either.

Hmm... LOL?

Did they forgot to print the paragraph on how Sudden Metamagic feats work in Complete Arcane (at least I cannot find it).

A sudden metamagic feat doesn't require a full-round action from casters who choose spells as they cast them, such as sorcerers and bards.

So yes that means Sudden Quicken is actually meaningful to spontaneous casters, unlike Quicken Spell.

Sorry, but Sudden Quicken is meaningful to nobody.

Yes they did. Like they also forgot to print sleep in the Warmage spell list.

Ah. Well, that would change things, wouldn't it?

Currently (MH not withstanding), spontaneous casters gain no benefit from Sudden Quicken. IF WotC wants to errata that, so be it.

....they do wanna eratta that, right? Or have already? :]

Gez: Hilarious! ...and dead on.

So, is the MH for D&D, or is it for those prepainted mini heroclix-type things? If it's for D&D I need to get it... I had always assumed it was a separate entity.

Partially. It is for the miniatures game somewhat, but it is a D&D book and also has rules for D&D (many of those have been reprinted in the Complete series, like the Favored Soul or the Sudden Metamagic stuff, also the Swift and Immediate actions were first introduced there).

I would not really recommend buying it, it has very little content (two or so classes and some other small stuff, like the explanation how Sudden Metamagic feats work :p), that is relevant for D&D, if you already have the Complete series.
