Sorcerers and Sudden Metamagic Feats

...except the sentence about Sudden metamagic feats and spontaneous spell casters. Grrrrrrrr.........

Yup: buy it for that one crucial sentence. ;)

Thanks Thanee. I probably will buy it, just because I am a bookwhore and simply must have any book that could possibly in any way contribute to the game.

A splatbook rule should not require a rule in another splatbook. It's just rude.

Well, I'd definitely consider that an oversight and it should be addressed in the errata or FAQ. Time will tell, if it will be.

But it should also be clear enough, that Sudden Metamagic feats do work that way, even though CA fails to explain it.

Speaking of these two or so classes, the Healer makes for a great cohort if you take Leadership (don't forget to give her the Augment Healing feat from Complete Divine to maximize her potential), and the Marshall is an original class if you want to play a character whose role in the party is a bit like the bard's (party support during combat, negociations outside), without the singing minstrel aspect.

Sorry, but Sudden Quicken is meaningful to nobody.

Best laugh I have had in a while, thanks Gez.

My poor sorcerer still lacks Weapon Specialization (Kama), or I would have picked up the Sudden Quicken feat. Got to plan ahead better.

Yep, Sudden Quicken is really totally and utterly ridiculous, especially if you compare it with Divine Metamagic: Quicken Spell.

Prerequisites: Sudden Still (or Still Spell), Sudden Silent (or Silent Spell), Quicken Spell

That would be more than enough.

Err?

Work with me: pretend you don't have MH. (Pretend you are not about to part with some hardearned cash for a piece of t......err, never mind. :) )

Tell me why it "should be clear" that Sudden metamagic feats don't provide the same restrictions to sponateous arcanists that all other metamagic feats do?

...which seems to mean: "You don't need to prepare a spell using this metamagic feat."

Do spontaneous casters normally prepare their spells? :)
