I hope this doesn't mean that ability scores and implements no longer add to spell damage. That was one of the things I actually liked about 4e. Further, if there is no scaling and no ability score bonus to spell damage, what makes one wizard different from another? Should an archmage with an Int of 20+ deal the same exact damage with fireball as a low level apprentice with an Int of 14?
P.S. This sounds an awful lot like how 3e psionics handled damage scaling. I really, really hope it's not going to be like that at all.
