Spoilers Angel 03/04

Hmm ... Cordy, IMO, never returned, and this is a double right from the get-go. She's seemed different, even if she did go through all her belongings ... and why not? Accustimize yourself before they cast the spell to bring Cordy's memories to her. With someone as preternatural as Angel around, you can't be sure he's not listening, if even accidentally, to what you are doing.

Also ... I don't think a person being merely posessed by the First would be saying, "Give Momma some Sugar," to the beast. Something else is/was up.

I was sure abou Angel being Angelus for a variety of reasons (mentioned in this thread) though I am sure that he did kill someone the first night he was out. Plus, Angel, no matter how deep the 'cover', wouldn't have drunk from Lila, even if she was dead.

Plus, the character of Angelus I see as being very different from other vampires. He knows he'll feed, but he's not worried about it. He's transcended basic vampirism, being all about the eating. Playing the part out of contact with the others seals the deal - I don't think Joss & Co. are that sloppy.

And I'm very much looking forward to seeing the phone call mirrored in the next Buffy, if it happens. And I'm glad their seeding Faith's return with Buffy plots for when she returns home. :D

The part about Cordy asking for some sugar - Well, she tells Conner the baby is his but we have not see the DNA! Back a few shows she leads Conner to the place the Beast would appear...allowing/even making him think he was connected to the beast, now she strenghts her hold on Conner, which I think she saw slipping with Faith.

I don't know if it is Angel or Angelus - I do see him tasting the blood of Lila to smell out the killer. I do think it is Angelus because he is a different type of vampire, he stalks, plays, sees things in a bigger picture than your everyday vamps BUT when he killed the beast, his look and statements were Angels...

My UPN station went out on me for 10/15 minutes so I missed the phone call and how he got the knife.

Oh, I still say something is up with Lorn, he would have killed and even looked like he wanted to kill Conner after the spell was cast, which also protects him and Cordy! Mmmmmmm.

Hey I wanted to kill Conner too for some of the things he said! Does that make me a demon then? ;)

*btw I think the reason they showed the knife was more for faith's benefit (since she'll be on Buffy after this stint) but I DO think it's possible the First and/or a minion of it's is the one in charge of this mess. It only make sense IMHO.

Well, not all of us watch Buffy. I don't. I've watched Angel for a couple of years now, but I've only watched a couple of episodes of Buffy. Just doesn't stick with me the way Angel does. You talk about about the "First".... I have no idea what/who that is.

Actually, I don't enjoy either of the shows much anymore truthfully. I watch them because the backstory, like reading products for a game line you don't play anymore.

But, anyway: the First Evil is the major villain on Buffy right now, your normal End of the World stuff.
He is incorporeal, and can appear as anyone dead. Or at least that's what info we have so far.

He's basically been going about killing the potential slayers. Word was said that he could only do this now (and never before) because of some anamoly, which Giles figured was Buffy being ressurected or somesuch.

Perhaps Cordelia is connected to that.

but did the First control Wood for a second when he touched the seal? What was up with the students everyone was fighting? When the seal was deactivated they went back to normal, right? Does this show that the First can "possess" people with the right circumstances? If so, then it could be that the First is possessing the baby and using the baby to control Cordy.

Also, when the First possesed Wood, his eyes went all clouded over with white. That's been happening to Cordy lately when she gets a "flash of insight from the Powers that Be", but did it always happen to her? Maybe that's a clue that it's not the the Powers, but the first.

Well she's half demon now...but I believe she did it before too...but then again you are right in that her cloudy eyes MIGHT be insight from the First.

When she first gained her demonic half the visions came very easily to her, even more so than the original guy. There was no whitening of the eyes. That is very new, and I think the First's influence.

Spoiler Request

So, I've seen all of the first season of Angel, thanks to the newly released (shut up, Brits! :) ) DVD set, and I've seen the most recent episode of Angel as well, "Salvage." I've got a few questions, if somebody doesn't mind spoiling me and answering them:

1. Is Lilah, who was killed by Cordelia and apparently attracted to/the object of Wesley's attractions, the same Lilah who works/worked for W&H in the first season? She looked very similar, but the hair style and mannerisms were different.

2. Speaking of her, whatever happened to "oh wah I'm poor guess I'll be evil" Lindsey? And is Kate (blonde policewoman, holds a grudge against Angel for pulling the wool from her eyes) still around, or did the actress leave?

3. What was the process of Wes' "coolification?" He showed signs of becoming a tougher character during the first season, but he's hardcore now.

4. If you could go back in time and prevent one person's conception from taking place, would it be Hitler's, or Conner's? I'm having difficulty deciding.

Edit: Oh, and where did Fred come from? My God, she's cute.

Gumby,

Alot of your questions happened over the course of many seasons, but here goes:

1. Yes it's the same Lilah as in the first season.

2. Lindesy left I think after the 2nd season due to some changes in himself. He's not working for Wolfram and Hart but he's no friend of Angel's. Kate was fired as a cop because of an incident due to an action by Angel.

3. Basically it was all the fighting, killing and the time he took charge of Angel Investigations while Angel was on his whole vengeance kick against Wolfram and Hart.

4. Hilter. He's a proven killer and all around menace. Conner is just a kid that needs a kick in the butt.

5. Fred appeared last season. Long story there but let's just say season four covered her indepth.

Thanks. I figured it was her, but she was quite the secondary character in season I.

Good; I hate that cocky little jerk. Too bad about Kate, I liked her a lot at the beginning of season I.

Hmm. Cool, this sounds like a showdown between Angel and W&H. I'd like to see Angel take down a large office building.

Well, yeah. I guess if he gets the right kind of positive role models (like Faith) (and I can't believe I just wrote that), he might end up less snarky than he was in that episode.

Thanks.
