I doubt Indy's run will be an entire year, but you never know. ;)
I remember the good ol' days when movies like Star Wars would stay in the theater for months and months and movie tickets were cheap enough that a kid like myself could go see it over and over again.

I wonder how many movies were relased each year back in the late 1970s for movies to stick around for so long when the theaters often had only 2 to 4 screens.

I remember seeing movies get re-released. My parents were forced to drive me up to Evansville, IN to the theater there to see Star Wars and ESB every time.

This sounds like good strategy, and I didn't really see Christmas time as a good time for a movie release. Hopefully this is a sign that the movie is good enough to be a big blockbuster.
