STAR WARS - Episode III Plot

Set Harth

First Post
I posted this sometime ago on this board to generate disscussion shortly after Episode II came out, I'm doing so again because I think I'm still close to how it will truly turn out.

Greetings Fellows Star Wars Fans,

As member of the Star Wars Universe, I SET HARTH being well versed in both Jedi and Sith lore shall reveal to you all the future events surrounding the birth of DARTH VADER, Dark Lord of the Sith. (Actully this just an opinion from your average Star Wars nut. ) :D

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (Ties in nicely with ROTJ Eh?) :D

For two years civil war has torn the galaxy apart. The Republic's Clone Army under the command of the few remaining Jedi struggle to hold the pieces of the Republic together.

In the opening scenes we see Jedi Knight ANAKIN SKYWALKER as he commands his dwindling clone troops fighting a losing battle on the planet Naboo against the countless numbers of the Trade Federation's Droid Army. At his side, SENATOR AMIDALA, five months pregnant, jointly commands the defenders of Naboo. It is a hopeless battle and the two are forced to flee as the Trade Federation’s armies lay waste to the planet. All that will remain for future generations to see is a charred husk and the dying Gungan people.

OBI-WAN KENOBI, General and Jedi Master, distressed by the heavy-handed decrees of Supreme Chancellor PALPATINE argues with his former padawan learner about his increasingly ruthless tactics in fighting the Separatists. ANAKIN will hear none of it; his ego stroked by the Chancellor, has now grown out of all proportion. Time and again, the Chancellor praises ANAKIN, as a hero to the public even as he remarks on the failures of the remaining Jedi commanders, proclaiming them too compassionate and soft to wage war.

Mean while a distressed PADME watches in horror as her beloved darkens, ruled increasingly by his passions. She turns to a fellow senator, BAIL ORGANA of Alderaan, for solace. But the possessive young ANAKIN sees this close friendship in a very different light. His jealousy and fear at the growing relationship between his wife and BAIL unmans him. He falls victim to the powerful temptations of an exotic seductress, a pawn of DARTH SIDIOUS, in his efforts to draw him deeper into the Dark Side.

The Jedi Council has come to a decision. They will withdraw their support from the new ruthless regime that is slowly growing as the Supreme Chancellor seeks to subdue the rebelling systems. For this act PALPATINE vilifies the Jedi Order claiming that they abandon both him and Republic to keep there precious hands clean in the face of civil war. Appointing ANAKIN, the only Jedi with the will to fight, as his Minister of Defense, he gives the Young Jedi Knight free reign to bring order to the galaxy. The Jedi Council is forced to expel ANAKIN from the Jedi Order in response to his actions.

ANAKIN newly empowered by the Supreme Chancellor, receives information, leaked to him by DARTH SIDIOUS, on the location of COUNT DOOKU, Leader of the Separatists. He hunts down the count and brutally kills the old man. This act combined with ANAKIN’S unfaithfulness and insane jealousy of BAIL ORGANA forces PADME to face what he has become and abandon him, seeing it as the only way to protect her unborn child.

AMIDALA, BAIL ORGANA, and other senators, disgusted with PALPATINE’S duplicity, join with their former enemies The Separatists to condemn the Chancellors actions, taking COUNT DOOKU’S former place and reenergizing their failing rebellion. While MACE WINDU and OBI-WAN seek out ANAKIN in and effort to redeem him, Jedi Master YODA fearing that the their only hope may lie with the unborn child of ANAKIN SKYWALKER, attends to PADME and witnesses the birth of the twins LUKE and LEIA SKYWALKER.

MACE and OBI-WAN’s journey leads them to Byss, a dark and fiery world, the last bastion of the Sith. There all is revealed as the Jedi confront the Sith Lord DARTH SIDIOUS, A Dark Side Spirit that had corrupted many in the last thousand years. Jumping from host to host in line of succession through master and apprentice all the way back into antiquity when the then newly created Jedi Order had destroyed the Sith Empire. Now DARTH SIDIOUS in possession of the Supreme Chancellor PALPATINE would see the destruction of the Jedi Order and the Rebirth of the Sith Empire.

Facing off within bowels of a Sith Temple MACE and OBI-WAN confront ANAKIN and his dark mistress. A terrible battle is fought between the champions of each side of the Force. Each is match for the other as the deadly foursome dance with death. Through it all SIDIOUS/PALPATINE gleefully cackles from his shadowy throne, goading them all and seemingly to feed off the dark energies produced by the battle. The luminescent blades combined with the lurid glow from the surrounding lava pits paint a mesmerizing shadow play upon the temple’s walls. This battle is the stuff of legend; each combatant is evenly matched with none giving any ground. A single mistake breaks the whirling stalemate and the dark lady is slain by a clean stoke from MACE’S purple sword, OBI-WAN is disarmed and lies on the ground at the sword point of ANAKIN’S lighsabre. He raises it for the killing blow but is stopped by MACE’S charge. His mechanical arm is sheared away, the lightsabre falling to the ground. The momentum of MACE’S charge carries them both over the precipice and into the lava below. Both OBI-WAN and SIDIOUS/PALPATINE cry out in denial.

SIDIOUS/PALPATINE barks a sharp order and clone troops file in behind him. Kill him he commands and quickly OBI-WAN finds that he needs to escape. Summoning ANAKIN’S lightsabre into his hand OBI-WAN blocks the weapons fire of the clone troopers and makes his escape. As SIDIOUS/PALPATINE is about to give the order to pursue he is shocked for the first time in a millennia. Rising from the lava lake, burnt and twisted, dripping molten rock, is ANAKIN, his features unrecognizable, kept alive by shear force of will and rage. An evil smile of glee spreads across SIDIOUS/PALPATINE’S face.

OBI-WAN meets YODA on the planet Dagobah. OBI-WAN informs him of ANAKIN’S death, but sadly YODA knows different ANAKIN survives and lost completely to the dark side. In his son however hope remains. YODA gives LUKE to OBI-WAN telling him that LEIA and PADME have gone into hiding. OBI-WAN decides to take LUKE to Tatooine, there to be raised by his uncle for OBI-WAN no longer trusts himself to do so.

The newly proclaimed EMPEROR PALPATINE watches passively as medical druids hover about a prone figure in black. We see the figure sit up and see his face for the first time. Fresh, pink skin gleams wetly on the scared features of a man we barley recognized as ANAKIN. We watch as his features are obscured as a helmet is lowered over his head, the very ominous looking mask seals away the last bit of ANAKIN SKYWALKER. In his place now stands DARTH VADER. And the whole galaxy shall tremble at the sound of his name.

I did hear that Padme might die in Ep. 3.

I doubt it. Remember, Leia says she has some memories of her mother in RotJ. That means she was probably at least two or three or years old for those memories. I doubt that Luke and Leia will be that old by the end of Ep. III.

It'll never happen; the plot's too good.

Then again, lesse how the plot sounds for Ep2.

Rebellion is brewing against the Galactic Republic, and the separatists attempt to assassinate Senator Amidala from Naboo as she arrives to vote on the Republic capital of Coruscant. Chancellor Palpatine assigns up-and-coming Jedi padawan Anakin Skywalker to be her bodyguard (secretly part of a plot by Darth Sidious to create a rift between Anakin and his teacher Obi-Wan). Anakin has been becoming increasingly rebellious, and he has been having disturbing dreams about his mother back on Tatooine, so he's eager to throw off Obi-Wan's yolk. When another assassination attempt is barely thwarted, Anakin and Amidala leave Coruscant and go into hiding on her homeworld, while Obi-Wan follows a trail of clues to the distant world of Khamino.

On Khamino, the Jedi knight discovers a deceptive conspiracy, somehow involving a Jedi Master thought dead, a cloned army being developed for the Republic, and a skilled bounty hunter/assassin named Jango Fett. Somehow, Obi-wan fails to put together the clues and figure out that someone's been manipulating events to encourage war, so he follows Jango Fett across the stars to another hidden location.

[here's where I fiddle a little with what actually happened]

Meanwhile, on Naboo, Obi-Wan's mind has wandered from protecting Padme to worrying about his mother, who he is continuing to see in visions. Padme's sympathy for him brings them closer, even as she becomes worried about his angry outbursts. Finally, after one violent nightmare, Anakin decides that he cannot keep his duty to Amidala; he has to go to Tatooine to help his mother. Suddenly afraid of losing her new bond with Anakin, Padme goes with him, and they fly to Anakin's homeworld. On Tatooine, however, Anakin discovers that his mother has been captured by the native sand people, and in a rage, he follows them to their village. He finds his mother, but she dies in his arms, asking why it took him so long to come. Loathing himself, enraged at Obi-Wan's restriction's, and possessed with hate for the sand people, Anakin slaughters the entire village, then returns to Padme, cold and alone.

Not far (in Galactic terms) from Tatooine, Obi-wan lands on a desolate world and manages to sneak into the fortress of Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master who has allied with the separatists. He sends a message to alert the Jedi council, but is captured by Dooku's minions. However, his message reaches Padme and Anakin on Naboo. Anakin does not feel worthy to the task of helping Obi-Wan, but Padme confesses how much she cares for Anakin, and how she doesn't want to see him pull away from the world and from her. Anakin tries to argue with her, shouting that she shouldn't worry about him, since no one else does, and in desperation, Padme nearly says she loves him. Snapped out of his depression, Anakin decides to go, and together they fly to Obi-Wan's aid.

Since Tatooine is far closer to the separatist's homeworld than Coruscant is, Anakin and Padme arrive long before any forces from the Jedi council. They manage to sneak into Count Dooku's compound, but are captured. Meanwhile, Count Dooku tries to sway Obi-Wan to his side, creating more deception and lies about Chancellor Palpatine being the true villain. Obi-Wan will not listen, however, so Dooku orders him into a gladiatorial arena, alongside Amidala and Anakin, where they will be killed for the entertainment of Dooku and his followers.

Soon, Amidala and Anakin are taken and readied to go into the arena, and as they come to terms that they are about to die, both admit their love to each other. Once sent out into the arena, however, this love bolsters them, and gives them the strength needed to fight back. As Dooku, his allies, and his bodyguard Jango Fett look on, Amidala, Anakin, and Obi-Wan escape from their chains and begin to fight against the monsters in the arena. The three make a good showing, even though they have little chance of escape from the thousands of watching and bloodthirsty soldiers.

Then, Jedi Master Mace Windu appears on the balcony from which Dooku watches the game, and he places a light saber to the Separatist leader's throat, demanding they surrender. Dooku scoffs, and orders his droid warriors into the arena, surrounding the three heroes.

At the last instant, though, a military transport swoops into the arena, loaded down with the cloned soldiers Obi-Wan had discovered before. Led by Jedi Master Yoda, the clone army has arrived to rescue Anakin, Amidala, and Obi-Wan, and to destroy Dooku's forces. A grand fight takes place in the arena, as dozens of Jedi knights battle against a small droid army. Jango Fett stops Windu from killing Dooku, but then the bounty hunter and the Jedi master tumble down into the arena below to duel each other. Dooku flees, but his droid warriors are cut down, and Mace Windu manages to behead Jango Fett.

The conflict then travels onward to the wide fields around the Separatist army compounds, where the clone warriors are engaged in huge, brilliant battles. Our heroes, however, commandeer an aerial transport and chase after the fleeing Dooku, following him to a distant hidden spaceport, where an escape ship waits to take Dooku off-world.

While Amidala returns to the main battle to rally the troops, Obi-Wan and Anakin confront Dooku before he can make it into his ship. Dooku's superior command of the Force and his control of powerful dark side lightning quickly tips the scales in his favor in the battle, as Anakin is stunned and removed from the fight. Obi-Wan attempts to duel Dooku with a light saber, but he only manages to endure just long enough for Anakin to return to the battle. As Obi-Wan is knocked unconscious, Anakin gets a second wind and, empowered by anger, delivers a vicious attack against Dooku. The battle is hopeless, though, and the more powerful Dooku casually disarms Anakin of one of his swords, then disarms him of one of his arms. Screaming pain, Anakin clutches his wound and collapses, helpless.

Dooku takes a moment to gloat, and prepares to finish the two Jedi off, when a small figure enters the room, carrying an aura of great power. Jedi Master Yoda challenges Dooku, draws his light saber, and pounces, striking in a blindingly quick battle. Though fragile in body, Yoda holds nothing back, channeling the Force through himself to nearly strike down the Count. However, Dooku is unwilling to fight fairly, and he uses the Force to rip a heavy metal fixture away from the wall and leave it teetering to crush the fallen Anakin and Obi-Wan. Yoda is forced to break off from his duel to move the heavy item so it will not kill the two heroes. In that brief moment, Dooku flees to his ship and escapes.

Anakin and Obi-Wan are saved, and most of the Separatist forces on the planet are routed, but Dooku evades the Jedi and the clone army, and heads for Coruscant, where he meets with Darth Sidious as an ally.

After the battle, Anakin is punished for abandoning his duty and not keeping Amidala safe on Naboo, but Anakin cares little. He and the woman he loves return to Naboo, where they are married. Despite the happiness on Amidala's face, Anakin seems somehow darker, and his new mechanical arm shows the first step toward his eventual change into Darth Vader.

It sounds kinda cool when you write it out. I guess the acting/directing just didn't hold up. I do wonder, though, why Anakin didn't even whimper after getting his arm sliced off. *shrug*

I kind of saw it as he was in so much shock, it didn't really phase him...though he barely grunted...*shrugs too*

Sounds about right, but I kinda doubt that Sidious is actually going to be some ancient Sith intelligence possessing Palpantine. All of that evil is the Emperor's own. I also somehow doubt that Lucas would be faithful enough to the expanded universe to have a bastion of the Sith on Byss.

Demiurge out.
