Star Wars games in the wake of RotS

The FIRST batch of Clones were ordered without anyone's knowledge. The later, however, were definitely ordered at the request of the current Republic and not Sifo-Dyas. The speed at which Clones aged coupled with how many died in combat essentially required the ordering of more.

And Lucas has pretty much stated that Stormtroopers(well, at least some) are clones.

There was what three batches ordered, I believe that is what I read or was hinted at in the books, but you would know. ;)

Of course. :)

[sblock]One of Palpatine’s first acts was probably to replace the battle armor of the republic with the battle armor of the empire. Hence they would be stormtroopers and not clone troopers. ;) [/sblock]

Yes, a great deal of Stormtroopers are clones. However, we know there is also an Imperial Academy (this is movie canon, not just EU canon, because Luke references a desire to go off to it in Ep. IV). Therefore, the Empire must have mixed recruits and clones in it's ranks. If the Empire didn't recruit, there would be no need for an Imperial Academy that was open ot the likes of Luke Skywalker or Han Solo.

I have a campain set up hundred of years after RotJ. All the big names have been dead for a long time. I find it easier to set up my own story. The players have a broader array of things that they can do. Yet, the past is still well remembered and they still live under the shadow of what their predecessor accomplished. That way they don't have to worry about an unmoveable plot, or characters that have to be a certain way, and I don't have to rewrite half the setting.

Ummm, the Stormies are clones dude... watch the special edition DVDs. All the voices were redubbed with the guy who plays the Clones and Jango Fett. LUcas says in the commentary that they are clones. He even put easter eggs to imply it in Episode II when Jango hits his head when he gets into the Slave I which compared to the Stormy who did the same thing in ANH.
Really? I didn't notice that. I'll pop in Star Wars tonight, though and check that out. If that's true, it makes Luke and Han's ruse a bit confusing.

[sblock]Obviously, lightsabers are not only an effective defense against force lightning, they seem to be the only defense
Yoda seemed to do fine against force lightning from Dooku in AotC barehanded.

Who said that graduates of the Academy were stormtroopers? I believe that, in the case of both Luke and Han, we're talking about a Naval Academy or Starfleet Academy...which would have been training naval pilots and officers, not stormtroopers. Stormtroopers are a special branch / group of the Imperial military, separate from the Navy.
