It is taking all of my strength not to buy this game. I have no time to play right now and I still have a huge urge to go buy it.
Give in to your dark urges. You won't regret it. After playing for a bit you will make time. ;)

this is how good it is. Rememebr the firend whoos ehouse I said I was palying it at. We've been giving up our lves outside this game except for work, so in about 30 minutes I go home and will play it again at his place. He wants to buy the game now so he can play it when I'm not around.

Seriously give into the dark side and buy this game, and be one evil jedi mo fo.

Im soo happy with this game. Not only has it reaquainted me with my Xbox, its also rekindled a long dormant love of Star Wars that I though Jar Jar had killed long ago.

So much good stuff-very much a Baldurs Gate in 3d. Moral choices to make, bickering party members, great combat. And Bioware really captured the feel of the universe just like they did Forgotten Realms in Baldurs Gate. You get a great broad slice of the universe, and it doesnt bog the game down.

BTW has anyone chosen the dark path yet in the game? I just cant make myslef yet-Im too goody two shoes I guess.

Not yet. I want to see the light side first because the dark side seems more fun. ;) I'll do that the second time around.

I'm stradling the middle with a slight tendence to the light. Really they make the dark side kind of hard, I mean the light/dark side choices are all: do you help your firend/do you run away and torch an orphanage. And you get light side points all the freakin time for not being good, but just for not being a total ass. Heck sometimes you get light side points for killing people when there is a non violent option in the text.

but hey I had fun force persuading someone into giving into their darkside on the wookie homeworld.

All right you jerks convinced me, I am buying the game at lunch on Thursday. Do you know I just moved into a new house and the amount of projects I have is huge, but I will blame you, all of you.

I own an XBOX and a PC, I am very interested in this game, but I do have a couple of questions before I buy: is combat turn based like the Baldur's gate games, or is combat like Neverwinter Nights? Also, do you have total party control? Do you control party members inventories, what he does in combat, how he spends skills when he levels up? Or is that like NWN too?

combat seems to be a blend of turn based and real time. It's hard to describe, but you decided your action and you do it, if you don't have another action to punch in you will have a slight delay and then automatically react to something. Normally though you learn to love the X button and use it to put your next actions in a que(Q? a line). You use the balck button to switch characters and set up their actions as well. Oh white buton pauses so you can do all of this.

Also you can set up the autopuse to pause at the end of every turn.

And yes you can control everything, inventory, levleing up etc. Only problem with control is they have to be in your active party to contorl them, if there just chilling on your ship you can talk with them and that's about it.
