STARTING RIGHT NOW! MEGA ADVENTURE: Calling all players!

assign a separate judge to each sideplot (if at all possible) so that in the unlikely event that Rystil Arden's RL comes knocking, the whole campaign won't fall on one judge's shoulders.

I've taken over adventures before, but taking over one of Rystil's elaborately complicated romps? **shudder** Though on the bright side, from my experience as a player in his games the possibility of a total party kill is always just around the corner.... ;)

:] TPKs are fun. But only when I've playtested the fights and determined that victory is also a likely outcome.

As to the question at hand, I've seen the amount of detail necessary to get an adventure approved here, and I am confident that any info I would need to give on an adventure would generally be covered in the special event big council meeting that happens just before the split into many little adventures, so they should be approvable without any spoilers.

This assumes that summaries like the one I gave for TCotM are sufficient to get these adventures approved too. I haven't submitted a new adventure since KO2 stepped down as judge (and de facto 'senior judge'), so I have no idea if all the things he told me long ago still hold with some of the new faces here.

If theres money to be gained, he will do anything. If theres some strange and shinny thing over which he could pose his hands, he will do even more.

I suppose total party captures are different, but it doesn't seem like the battle Anvuss and Kharas got involved in was anywhere near likely to result in victory. ;)

We may still pull it out, but if so it'll be a miracle!

I wasn't sure to what extent you guys would use Thelanium, nor if you would snatch away Elysia's little toy from her (it's actually a fairly useful item). When I playtested that fight, I ran you guys with better coordination (to be expected since I'm one guy and not two), and you won about 2/3 of the time. I'm not worried about the other 1/3 because of other events in the power matrix that would help mitigate a total failure here (though not cancel out a victory, lest that take away the achievement, which would have been very real)

Yeah, we could have been a lot more coordinated. I should have insisted on a more thorough briefing before going through the gate, but with the temporal disparity I figured we'd better go through quick. Anvuss went through most of that combat thinking "Who are these guys? Why are we fighting them?" His lack of understanding of the physical structure of the plane and of Thelanium was also a problem.

Be awesome if we do manage to steal the ship, though!

I doubt it, as you'll see soon (I noticed Velmont posted that the OOC we both thought were his thoughts were actually actions--I haven't posted in the real thread yet because I don't have time right now, and if I go in to say that, when I check my threads and see that I'm the last poster, I might forget to do it)--I figure we'll probably proceed from here to what would have happened had you both been captured, except that Kharas will be invisibly hiding on the ship.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has that problem!
