I imagine you'll get a quicker/better response over on the boards at Paizo.com or emailing their customer service folks.

Well, at least they told you the subscription ran out. With me, they just stopped sending the magazines. Then they started again. Then they stopped again. Then about six months after the subscription was supposed to run out, I got a "do you want to resubscribe" letter.

No. No I don't.

Ironically enough, I like the magazine. However, I've been paying newsstand price for the last year or so just because they're all smoking airplane glue in the subscriptions department at Paizo.

Erik,are you there? elforcelf.

This really isn't the best way to contact him, Elf. He checks these forums on occasion, but it's not like he's here all the time, or even every day. If you want to make sure he sees this, you need to e-mail him. Complaining on a messageboard--even a legitimate complaint, such as yours--isn't conducive to swift or sure resolution, especially when it's not even his company's board.

I got the same letter about 2 months ago, with 6 issues left. I emailed customer support, and had a reply back in 24 hours, with every thing straightened out. I also call them pretty often when my issues are late or when I don't even get them, and they always send a replacement.

I've had pretty good fortune with their customer service as well. From July to about September, I wasn't receiving the magazine at all. Each month, when it was seriously tardy, I e-mailed them and they immediately sent out a replacement. It took 'em a few months to fix the problem, but they were very helpful in the meantime.

Yeah, something's a little off in their subscriptions department. I had let my Dungeon subscription lapse because I wanted to get it and Dragon renewing at different times to lessen the impact on my wallet, and of the two I knew I'd be way more likely to drive to a store to buy Dungeon. Well I give it a good six or seven months, send my card in to subscribe and check the "bill me" box because I wanna pay by check.

First issue arrives six weeks or so later, but the bill never does. Neither does the next issue. So I e-mail customer service, and sure enough they've stopped sending me issues because I never paid the bill they never sent. Meanwhile the bill finally arrives and I get my check in the mail the same day.

Well customer service informs me that I'll be missing two issues as a result of all this. I pick them up at the store no problem, but with all the delays and lead times on mailing lists for issues, things have looped back around so that I wind up having to renew Dragon within about six weeks of paying for Dungeon. ARGH!

To top it all off, I receive a "it's time to pay for Dungeon" letter in the mail about two months after I mailed my check.

I think I liked it better when I was buying the magazine at the store.

Agreed that the sub system is SNAFU'd.

6 months AFTER my old sub ran out, I got the warning letter.

Meanwhile, I had just started a new 3-year sub a few months before I got the letter - but the letter was linked to my old sub, not my new one.

Effectively - ignore the letters, and check your sub stats on-line.
