Supergirl Official Teaser Trailer

You may be looking too deep. Based on past experience, it could be as simple as “Supergirl is a girl! And she’s the main character!!! WTF!!!!!”
"Something with bewbies beating up men!"

I think this would be a good time to share what I thought would be a great addition to the bedroom scene at the beginning. Multiple heads pop up from under the covers. A male, a female, and something obviously alien.

Im just glad they went with this concept rather than the whole "Clark's randomly naked teenage cousin he didnt bother to get clothes for before introducing to his other superhero friends" thing. ya know, that era where she looks like she is 15 but has the mind of someone in their 20's, and she tries to hook up with Hal Jordan?

Coulda been that.

So i will happily take party girl unambiguously in her twenties.

Just watched the trailer.

Pros
  • Choice of Blondie for the theme song
  • Actress from House of the Dragon who played the young Targaryen... she was fabulous
  • The surface presentation of the character as well as its potential for growth and exploration
  • Krypto kept in the background so that his moments in the foreground stood out
Cons
  • Would have liked to see more of Supergirl's buddy... but maybe that's the point... keep you hooked so you can learn more in the next one

10/10, will watch this movie.

I think Waititi's issue for most people is that he's probably less consistent than Gunn.

I agree that the best of Waititi's stuff, like What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, is probably better than anything Gunn has done, but he also is capable of crashing the car into a tree in a way that Gunn hasn't so far.

For example, I love Peacemaker and Our Flag Means Death, but there's no question that Peacemaker is a much better show, top to bottom, whereas there are a lot of times that individual Our Flag Means Death episodes could have used another pass or two.

For the record I think both directors are talented.
Getting back to Supergirl, I’m interested to see how the first non-Gunn directed film in the new DC era turns out.
