Actually....I love the show and was disappointed by the first two episodes....it seemed like Dean was HAPPY about selling his soul. I guess it could be a bit liberating, but I thought it was a bit much.
I really liked the episode with the kid that might have been Deans. I really hope that it turns out that he is, and thus give Dean something besides Sam to keep him going.
The Rabbits foot episode was also cool. Loved the "I am Batman" part ;)

I've been enjoying it.
I was a bit worried about them introducing two new characters, but so far they've been fairly low key. I like how the demons DONT have a valid plan anymore and finding out Yellow Eyes has a name? Cool. Nice to see the Colt is still around too.

Consider, for a moment, that Dean has been "on the job" since he was a boy. He's looking at something more than "a bit liberating". He's seeing the end of a lifelong, life-shaping burden.

Plus, it makes a heck of an excuse to give in to his hedonistic nature :)

Dean might as well be happy and carefree as he really has no other choice since the contract prevents him from trying to get out of it.

I figure dean will get out of it at the end even if he isn't part of it since Sam and blonde demon girl will come up with something in the end. I don't mind Dean not being a part of it and I think it will be interesting to possibly have dean actively opposing the plan eventually.

Yep, Yellow Eyes is named as Azazel. This isn't all that surprising given the shows good job of doing research. Azazel is one of the leaders of the fallen angels who mate with human women to create the Nephilim (Which corresponds with Sam and the other powered children) and is also considered one of the leaders of the demon armies. At least for me the reveal made perfect sense and made me think that the writers knew what they were doing from the beginning.

Yeah, I did think of that. I guess I just figured he might look at it a bit more long term: sure ya get to live it up for a year, but then there is that whole eternity of suffering in hell part....

Based on what some other people I know have speculated: Blonde Demon Chick == Lucifer. That would be... really interesting, and perhaps a motivation that she/it really does want to help the boys get rid of these things for her own ends.
