You know, the rules thread doesn't actually say you can't simultaneously upvote and downvote the same entry, so, in the interest of evening things out . . .

Find Traps 24
True Strike 24 (+1 and -2!)

This will henceforth be known as a seevote.

Find Traps 13
True Strike 16

My only goal here is to try and foster a 1-0 final score

Find Traps 14
True Strike 14
I can get behind that.

Because each conventional vote produces a net change of 3 in the difference of the scores, and because the current difference is 0, it follows that with conventional voting, the final difference will have to be a multiple of three. More generally, if the current score difference is equal to x mod 3, then each subsequent score difference will also be equal to x mod 3. In this case x is 0.

But the difference in a (literal) score of 1-0 is equal to 1 mod 3, so if we want the final score to literally be 1-0, some additional seevoting will be necessary. (Strictly speaking, the difference in a score of 0-1 is actually equal to 2 mod 3, but the whole problem is symmetric, so whatever.)

This would have become obvious near the end, I just thought it was interesting that it was predictable.

Math is fun.

Oh.

Having written the above, I guess I will leave it for your amusement, but it's really easier, isn't it? The last vote that produces a score of 1-0 has to be a seevote; the closest that you could get with a conventional vote would be 2-0. (3-0, or 2-(-1) are also possible, but not quite as close.)

EDIT: And because of my first observation, with the score as it is now, no series of conventional votes could result in a score of 2-0 (or 0-2). Math - anything you can do, I can do in a more complicated way.

It was his shtick, and part of his background; part flavor, part spell.

If there was a social occasion, or an encounter that might lead to combat, he would "Call out the enemy" as being weak. Aka, cast true strike. Kind of an intimidation thing. Think of it as "Who is more macho."

I can find RP reasons for a character to use any of the spells listed. That doesn't make them useful as spells.
