SW: Galactic Republic IC

Garek follows the aide towards the ship, continuing his conversation with the Jedi.

"I've seen holo-vids of Ithor, and it was indeed a beautiful word. I feel that all must have been saddened by the destruction the Empire wrought.

"I also hope we have no need for weapons on this trip, as I'm no soldier. But hopefully the Hutts are true to their word, and we'll only need to use our diplomatic skills." Garek returns Oothar's smile, and continues after the aide.

"Wesa Jedi no be wantin' to make the bombad crunchen, Ambasseedor," Brasa said, "but wesa ready."

Brasa smiled at his fellows, proud to be among their number and count them as peers.

The Gungan continued, "mesa fellow Jedi help you make nice talkin' with de Hutts. Theysa good at de talkin'."

Walking with the group towards the ship, Shi-dal takes one final look at the scenery of Naboo, and silently vows to return to this wonderful place. "Brasa is right, Oothar and I will assist in any way we can, but if it comes down to a fight, Brasa is the best combatant we have. I saw him train, he is far better with a lightsaber than I. I'm proud to call him a friend." Smiling at the Gungan Jedi, Shi-dal turns back to the vessel.

"Shall we board?"

As you approach the ship (A Nubian Cruiser, with only a few luxuries, good speed, nice muscle, and a fair amount of room), A twi-lek in a flight suit comes down the ramp.

"AH" says the aide "I beleive that is your pilot. You have been assigned this cruiser for however long it takes to complete your mission. Unless there are any other questions?" he waits a few seconds, and then, if nobody else questions him, departs back the way you came, with a "Good luck to you all"

OOC: You're up, Bulsarra

Garek looks appreciatively at the cruiser, then turns to the Twi'lek.

"Looks like a good ship, does she fly well?"

He heads up the boarding ramp to take a look around inside.

Oothar extends his hand to the Twi'lek, "Pleased to meet you, Captain. I am called Oothar and that is Ambassador Valmar, this is Shi-dal and that is Brasa. We appreciate your help in our very important mission, and I hope that we do not prove to be too much of an inconvenience."

The Ithorian waits for the Twi'lek to take his hand in friendship.

The Twi'lek ignores the offered hand of the Jedi but instead casts his red eyes upon each of his passengers in turn.

"Everyone, you will kindly take your seats on board and remain there until we reach Nal Hutta."

"I respect you, Jedi," Wepps Vutaa says to the Ithorian, "but I wish to see you prove your ability to handle the power the Imperials so abused. For they too could easily offer an open hand."

With a flip of his twin headtails (too perfect a movement to be anything other than an exclaimation in Lekku ), Wepps returns up the ramp toward the cockpit, pausing only to add as an aside to Garek:

"The ship flies like a wounded Bantha except when I'm at the controls and the wiring in the conduits is worth more than the entire rest of the ship, but it'll get us to Nal Hutta...and anywhere we need to go."

"So be it, Captain," Oothar says as he puts his hand down and follows the Twi'lek into the ship. "I trust that you will soon find that the Republic's open hand is nothing like the Empire's closed fist."

An interesting pilot the Republic has chosen for us ... the Ithorian thinks to himself ... but we can't all be butterflies, I suppose.

Brasa whispers - probably not quietly enough - to Shi-Dal, "What's hees probleem? Wesa jus' tryin' ta be friendly."

Shi-dal leans close to Brasa, "He or his family were probably wronged at the hands of the empire. Probably best to leave well enough alone, until he knows us a little better." After the Twi'lek boards the vessel, "That or he is just surly." Shi-dal says with a slight smile.
