Tactics: Fey-Pact Warlock

I think I have a handle on the 3e Warlock's tactics (I like to be a sniper "archer", for instance).

But I was wondering, assuming one has a Fey-Pact Warlock, who takes only Fey themed Encounter and Daily powers, would the same tactics apply? Or am I meant to mix it up a bit in meelee and draw some fire? Should I concentrate on any particular opponents?

I know that things are situational, but I was wondering if this particular class + power choice combo lends itself to certain ways of playing the character in combat.

Oh, if it matters, I was thinking of the Doppleganger race, for extreme advantages outside of combat. :)

THere's a melee feat, and one new at-will that allows you to attack in melee, but unless you take one of those two, none of your powers are melee based.

You'll want to move. Moving 3 squares grants you +2 to AC. Your fey-pact boon teleports you around the battlefield. So, anticipate a lot of movement - that's what your gift is, anticipate it.

As far as targeting certain enemies - putting your curse on a minion and then killing them = instant pact boon, in case there's somewhere you need to teleport asap. Otherwise, I would ignore minions, because your job is to lock down enemies with the various effects of your powers. Witchfire is going to severely weaken a monster's ability to attack - Eyebite is going to let you get away - etc etc. Your best bet is to go after artillery or skirmishers first - you can move around and get to them nice and fast, and they have the weak HP.

Some powers do let you get close to your enemy before setting it off (Otherwind Stride attacks everyone before you teleport), so you can rush in, set it off, and be out of combat again.

Definitely movement is key. Being nailed down to one spot keeps you from benefiting from your ability to gain concealment.

Eyebite has more than just the advantage of letting you escape. It can be used to set up a bigger attack. You're effectively invisible to the opponent, so he doesn't see the next attack coming.

You may want to step out of Fey for the odd alternate teleport ability, or to gain a really good damaging attack power. For the most part though you're hurting the enemy's attack abilities, pushing them around the grid, and making them attack each other.
