OOC: Ok, cool, hopefully we'll get the chance to question some of them and find out how they know about us, since we had tried to be subtle and stealthy!

Ilvellios waved at Duran. "I've got a few scratches, you should take up running though, build up your stamina a bit," he joked.

" When I was your age I could out run a dwarf cross country and everyone knows those munchkins are built for stamina. One day you shall understand the pain of having a young mind trapped in a body that don't work right." Duran rambles on as he tends to the monks wounds, this is the first time he had seemed like a rambling old fool maybe that last fight caused him to lose hours faculties.

Sumber Hills, Day 7 Morning

The fleeing priest puts up a furious fight once he realises he can't outrun Illvilious, but he eventually succumbs. The finally reaver also fights savagely but with so many opponents doesn't last long. After the fight you find that the reaver is still alive but bleeding out and one of the bandits can be revived as well.

The reaver rages at you about the cleansing power of the wave, much like the priest Drosnin did at Riverguard. He is clearly fanatically indoctrinated into the believes of the cult and proves unwilling to give you any information.

The bandit on the other hand sings like a bird, "We's got a small camp back aways from der road. We's mostly set up ambushes for tra'llers and merchants, taking a bit o' dis and a bit 'o dat. Supplies mostly. Sum'imes we's taken a lone traveler prisoner. E'ry few days some o' der lads come from Riverguard, we's move camp and den some o' us head back wiv der suplies. Dis time out we's been takin' a lot more stuff and more prisoners."

He finishes off by telling you about a messenger that arrived late last night that got the priest riled up about whatever was in the message.

When you search the priests body you find a small note:

			A group matching the description given by Shoalar have come into town. Asking lots of questions about the history of the region. Sounds like they are heading out again in the morning. Don't know where. Jolly would be pleased to see them dead.

The ambushers are only carrying their weapons and armour, but heading back to the camp you find various camping supplies plus a small amount of stolen goods. According to your prisoner, they only moved here a couple of days ago. While the camp is basic, they are clearly set for some comfort and dealing with boredom.

GM: You find 21 GP; a barrel of wheat; a barrel of salted fish; two barrels of ale; plus the camping supplies and weapons. The bedrolls and tents are in good condition but smell terrible.

"Much obliged," Ilvellios thanked Duran.

"Well this is interesting! We tried to be discrete in town, suspecting there might still be cult spies there, and this confirms it! I think we should get a description of the messenger and go back to town to root him out. We need to have a safe base, and that would also allow us to take these prisoners back and turn them over to the watch, instead of dispensing trail justice again.."

“I am unharmed,” Errol told Duran. “Take a rest.” He patted the druid on the shoulder. Then he turned to collect his crossbow bolts, eying his dwindling supply.

Soon they had interrogated the prisoners. It was a bit disconcerting to know someone in town had been watching them. The note had obviously been written before they had infiltrated the cult and killed Jolly.

“Let’s take a rest here. Do we have time to head back to town with prisoners?” Errol asked the others.

OOC: How far from town are we again? And there are 5 of us? Yes, that is 4 gp each, with 1 left over. Also, are there any crossbow bolts in the camp?
