Tell me why you love the Draconomicon

I've read the reviews, but I'd like a more personal touch. Tell me why you love the Draconomicon. (I know there will be at least one person who will reply by saying, "I dont i hate it" or something, but that's okay. I'll take the chaff with the wheat).

And when is Librus Mortus (sic) out?

Fully statted dragons? Sample treasure hoards? Sample lairs? Those are my reasons.

The Undead book is due out in October I think -- this may be even better than Draconomicon in my opinion. :)

Good when you need something draconic quickly.

Also lots of stuff if you want to get more involved.

It's got all the bases covered.

Oh, and clinging breath. Take that, you arrogant PCs! ;)

Because reading it appeal to my inner Killer DM. I just get this evil smirk on my face and can't resist cackling and rubbing my hands together. Afterwards, I go outside and slaughter a few kittens, just to be mean.

Er, sorry, got carried away there. I love the Draconomicon because it gives me all kinds of awesome ideas for how to use dragons in my campaign, and for how to make the players QUAKE IN FEAR!

To expand on this point,

each dragon type from the core rules has a (named) fully statted sample dragons for each age category, plus a sample dragon lair, wiht a full page map, for each dragon type. That is the most valuable resourse IMO.

Plus Feats, PrCs, and other stuff for improving dragons.

it provides more incite into how the designers feel this version of the game should be played.

my hat of d02 knows no limit.

it is an honest attempt at explaining the d02 version of the game. it doesn't try to clothe itself in saying it is a build from previous editions.

Besides what everyone else has said, I really liked the detailed drawings of the skeleton, musculature and organs of the dragon and discussion of the ecology and biology of dragons. Just scientific-sounding enough to seem plausible and logical, but still fantastistic and imaginative. I'm not someone who needs lots of "reality" in her RPGs, but for some reason these details really fired my imagination.
