Tennant to Quit as Dr Who

:( Such a shame really. I would have at least liked David to appear in Season 5 when the Moff takes over. Alas though, twas not meant to be.
Yeah, I would've liked to see that, too. Moff + Tennant could have been great... and it was seemingly also pretty tempting for Tennant. But well...

Cheers, LT.

I've enjoyed Tennant's Doctor, and I didn't mind putting up with an abbreviated season coming up to accommodate his Shakespearean plays, but if he's not going to do a full season afterwards, then why are we "wasting" the chance for a normal season? I think I'd rather have moved on to the next incarnation and had a full season of the new guy.

Oh well.

Perhaps they'll get Daniel Craig to be the next Doctor...without him giving up the Bond role.

Two great media properties joined in one actor!

And a host of new movies!

"The T.A.R.D.I.S. is not enough"

"The Master is Forever"

"From Gallifree with Love"

"Timeraker"

"Live and Let Die...Again"

:-S As much I like Craig, there is no way in hell the producers would cast him as the 11th Doctor. He's already playing one iconic character in Bond, you'd burden him w/ the pressures of playing another like the Doctor?

And from a casting point of view, I think Daniel Craig is all wrong for the Doctor. Most of the actors who've been cast as the Doctor, have had an air of eccentricity about them. At any given moment they can be prone to wild outbursts and such, given the Doctor's 'anarchic nature' as Tennant put it awhile back. I just don't see such qualities in Craig, so he'd definitely be all wrong for it.

Yes, obviously... that's what makes the joke funny.
