The biggest (and coolest) miniature ever!!!

WOW. I'm impressed. Now, $250, without having the actual miniature in front of me so I can look at every single edge of sculpt? Nah.

If I get really impressive feedback from friends about it, who tell me they've never seen such an amount of detail, greatness of texture etc etc? Then, maybe.

Oh yes, I perfectly agree with that. It absolutely blows the colossal Red away. No problem about it! :D

For $250, it had better be able to eat other minis.

Also, I don't think you can even compare them. The Colossal Red is (mostly) desinged to be used in D&D. The ME dragon is designed to be a cool showpiece (for those who like unfinished, er, unpainted minis).

The main thing that bugs me in fact is that it comes unpainted (and here are the hours and hours of painting required on this one). Plus, I don't need a showpiece. If it's such a cool dragon, I want to use it in the game - that'd be my primary reason for cashing in.

Agreed, painting miniatures is a major pain. I've been honorable mention at Golden Demon once and have made first cut a bunch of times. But if you want it painted to the quality of say WotC's Colossal Red, you could do that in only a couple hours.

I could also just get WotC's Colossal Red (at a much lower price) and be done with it. Don't get me wrong, The Oracle Dragon is beautiful (and probably worth the money to a hardcore minis enthusiast), but it's far too expensive for the casual gamer (like me). ;)
