The Blue & The Grey (Long Shots)

First thing at the office, you make a couple calls to metro police about the car. After an hour of jumping around the switchboard, you find out that there is a '53 Bel Aire convertible at the impound lot. Unfortunately, you can't get there before meeting the coroner - it may even be after the workout, depending on how long he takes.

The coroner's name is Mark Kafesjian; he is expecting you and brings you into a semi-private office to talk.

"Dales told me you might know who that liver belonged to. It looks like the owner had B- blood. I gotta tell you something else, though, but it probably shouldn't leave this room. There were, uh, some unusual tooth marks on the liver, too."

"Heh. Is there a third choice?" he asks sarcastically.

"The tooth marks are strange, to say the least. If I was pressed, I would have to say animal, just for the sheer size involved. They look to be about twice the size of anything you'd find in a human jaw. The thing is, I've ruled out a shark, killer whale, bear and cougar as the animal that did this. We've seen enough of those to identify them pretty quickly. That doesn't leave very many options.

I can call Animal Control to see if a studio or tycoon lost something strange from his menagerie, but I must say I'm not optimistic."

"The liver was probably just gnawed on by some animal after it was tossed there. Were you able to figure out how the liver was removed? How long it was out of the body?" Heywood asks.

"If there are animals of this size out on the beaches of Malibu, we are in for some interesting times. Especially if this creature removed the liver itself, which I can't confirm."

"Thanks, keep digging. If you find anything please let the office know. We have an meeting to go to." Bishop will state.

"Time to head to the race track."

"I think the animal connection is irrelevant," Heywood says to his partner as they are leaving. "I hope that guy doesn't get caught up in that and miss other important details."
