OOC: I'm assuming that since a staff is a large weapon I can use it two handed, like a G.sword, etc? If so, that means my readied action to smack the first badguy through is a single attack, +4 to hit and 1d6+4 damage. I'll then get into my more normal, 2-weapon stance.

Yup, thats certainly fine, and I have used a staff on more than one occasion in just such a fashion at LARP.

Saxon hurriedly drags the bound individual out of sight of the tunnel from which the running is coming from. Should he have the opportunity after that he'll take up a spot from which to ambush the coming group should they be hostile.

"NO - leave him visible! We want them to surrender, not fight to the death..."

Vargo gets into a defensive stance, waiting for the attackers to arrive.

Saxon leaves the person in obvious view and subsequently hurries out of it.

"I'll hold back a bit and keep one eye on this one as well as whatever might burst through the doorway..."

Ashe shuffles back and forth impatiently waiting the oncoming attackers

"Do you think they would kill the master Dwarve just to spite us" He says looking up at arin

"Ashe... why go to the trouble of kidnapping him just to kill him?"

"These "things" want something and he's the means I bet to them getting it...." Marcus says...

Sorry to take so ****ing long, its a long story that isn't really worth it.

Several minutes later:

You are all in position, doing whatever you please, when three inhuman things step into the opening of the tunnel... while they might have been human once, or are something trying to be human, you are unsure of... their teeth are long and sharp, eyes bulging and all-white, with hourglass shaped pupils. Their skin is gray, and hanging off their body in some places, too tight in others. Colourful magic plays across their hides, and you can see it shimmer and cause their flesh to move as if insects crawl beneath the skin. The three are running into the room, filthy, broken nails seeming ready to rend your flesh.

Tell me what you plan to do. Those who have readied actions may presume they did not yet move.

Arin shall carry out her readied action.
SMACK the second one through.
Then the staff flips into a different position and she's ready to use both ends. (Full attack with double-weapon staff for the next round on the same one I just tried to Smack)

Meantime Ashe will try and run one of these beasties through with his blade, (going for the neck if I can)
