The Cape- another Supers TV show!

The ads (there are 3 or 4 of them out now) are definitely slick and stylish, but woefully short on actual content. Based on the ads, the show is about a reluctant hero (not sure if he actually has any powers) who has a mentor and a "little person" sidekick with something of an attitude. The ad with the sidekick is probably the best ad of the bunch.

A little over a week to go before the show premieres on Sunday, 1/9/11, then repeats the next day before settling into its regular Monday timeslot the following week.

OK, we need to get a dead pool going. How many episodes? I'm in for seven...no, sex...nooo, eight. Eight is my final answer.

Well, first things first - the ratings aren't likely to be stellar. I love Chuck, but it's a terrible lead-in show. I'm not expecting the show to get picked up.

My guess is going to be six episodes before a decision is made. They'll want enough lead time to add to the order if it's a hit, but enough sweeps data to justify swift cancellation if necessary.

NBC is a bit of a hard guess though. They badly need some movement, and something to stick. At this point, there's a possibility Chuck could get renewed simply because it retains an audience. So it's difficult to say what NBC will do.

I'm in for sex too... hello Sum... oh, six. :p
