(OOC: As Velmont said, it is the magical flute, but when he plays it, it seems to have some sort of fundamental flaw, so the notes come out slightly wrong...perhaps that is why the magic doesn't work. It's an exquisite flute, so it would require a true master to repair it.
In other news, Vanitri isn't quite alone. Not-Guile is up their too, and as usual she'll try for hugs, etc.

"Yes. The Senex is part of the Animus," Sin agrees, "Frankly, I was lucky not to be permanently destroyed or lost in Nulltime or Nullspace when that explosion occurred, but instead, my mind was shattered into fragments. The me you see before you now is the result of the most of myself that I could hold together as everything else split away. Then, when I figured out what was going on, I discovered that when I would meet an Aspect, I could also merge with them slightly. The result is that I would gain a little more of myself back and they would become one of my children. My best working theory for how I can save Laynie and not have to use her body is that if I can merge with every last Aspect, I may become myself again, and all the Wraiths may vanish. However, since Laynie is also one with Elpis and has several Aspects within her, I'd need to discover how to separate them out so I can absorb them myself. Then finally, I'd need to know where the last Aspects are hiding, where Guile and the rest used to be."

"So, there is a way for you to not take Laynie's body. I think i know what prevent me to accept that deal like that. You've been a human, as me. That mean you have both the worst and the best of human nature. I think if I had to be split like you have been, my strong aspect would be love and hope... maybe naive." Rinaldo adds with a smile. "Presently, I think you are a cold mind, and that's because of the aspect that you are missing. At one time, you've loved Laynie. She had changed you. It is apower that come to every kids to his parent. It's not magical, i doubt it is hormonal, I think it's simply the nature of that relation. Humans are not immortal. Even for a chronomancer. You can live many generation, but someday, something will happen and take your life. It could haev happen to you today if I hadn,t stop my hand. Maybe I could have detroyed teh Crux.
But when you have kids, it is a part of you who survive, and it is a part of you who survive into the next generations. Laynie is the brigthest girl I've ever seen. She is young, but she know more than many scholars. You've been the greatest wizard of your time. I don't doubt Laynie will be the greatest of her time, she just need the time to grow, she just need to live her life."

"Yes, there is a way to not take Laynie's body. In a fit of utter irony, since she has some of the Aspects in her, in order to pursure that way, I need to take Laynie's body. You see the humour in the scenario, of course? As to the Aspects you mention, Guile and others I have requisitioned from my dear daughter Eve, who was collecting Aspects for me in my absence. Senex seems to have merged himself into Laynie like Elpis, Spira, Mo, and others before. Those are the ones that I need to have Laynie's body before I can figure out how to pry them out again. Termina must have either entered into Laynie's body with remnants at the last second or else been absorbed by the Crux. Part of me was with the explosion, I think, and now it sucks in my other Aspects too. When I destroy it peacefully, I should be able to recover those. That should be all of them."

"I would favor that over other options. But before I need to speak to some persons. If the surviving aspects have to join you, I want them to do so by there own will, not by force, but that mean I need to convince them." tells Rinaldo.

"Let's worry about that later, since I also first will have to use Laynie's body to disarm the Crux and get the Aspects it absorbed before it will even matter, right? It's going to be very hard to convince them, and that's even if you can still find them--I'd bet you some of the stuff you stole from my workshop that they've changed the way to get in, since I'll be watching you now, so I'll know how you did it and my children and I could follow...Speaking of my workshop, are you ever going to give my stuff back? I didn't mention it before because it is fairly minor in comparison to the whole killing-everyone thing, but stealing my things is kind of rude too."

"That could be integrated into the deal, but I think there is a few items that Vanitri will hardly gives away, and I must tell it could greatly help my business if I could keep some of them, not counting the ones who dissapeared with Tenebrynn.
But I need to talk to Vanitri again. Don't forget the man have met the aspect that came out of some book and it was pretty hostile to him, so he has an harder time to trust you, but seeing you whole again might help him to accept a deal made with you." Rinaldo leaves Sin and climb back the stair to meet Vanitri.
