The Crux of the Matter

[Velmont]

"Why she has prepared so many... she didn't trust me. I never really trust her, and I should have followed that instinct. I'm still alive. I still have my soul, even if you have attack her after I told you all the whole story."

Hogarth move to Ahsna(r) and cast his healing spell (for 21 hp... nice roll) which seems to put back Ashna(r) in good shape.

"We can approach the crux and spell are reflected... I suggets we all move behind the Crux, that way, it will ward us from any spell coming from the staircase." Rinaldo move around the Crux, leaving it between him and the door.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"That won't help--she's remotely controlling Unseen Servants to carry these beads around. She'll just circle it around the edge of the room away from the Crux and catch us anyway."

 

[Velmont]

"Block the door. A wall of force or any other similar spell could block a simple unseen servant, no?" tells Rinaldo.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"I thought of that, but I didn't prepare a Wall of Force," Rayne admits, "In general, I do prepare Wall of Force for combat, but against someone who could just Dimension Door past the wall, it seemed like a waste. I didn't expect this situation."

 

[Velmont]

Rinaldo draws a sunrod and put it at his feet. He then slowly push it foward with teh tip of his rapier, looking how far from the Crux does the 'protection' field extend and also how much time it take the sunrod to dissapear.

 

[Rystil Arden]

(OOC: The room is a lot larger than just the length of his rapier--he would not be able to reach anywhere near the Crux pushing something along with his rapier unless he moved much closer to the Crux himself. Unless you actually meant that he was gave the sunrod a single push and tried to slide it across the floor?)

 

[Velmont]

OOC: He will step foward cautiously to continue to push the sunrod. He expect to see teh sunrod dissapearing first, or at worst, his rapier before him. He want to analyze the field around the Crux, how it reacts, how far it reach, ect...

 

[Rystil Arden]

*Moving slowly, Rinaldo is quite surprised to see that his rapier actually begins to ripple and vanish before the sunrod, even though it is farther back. He either has to drop the rapier (and likely lose it in time forever) to prevent the ripples spreading to himself, or else hold onto it and risk being taken as well.*

 

[Velmont]

Rinaldo quickly pull the rapier before releasing his grip, seeing it flying behind him and seeing if disappear into the time or if it stay in the room.

OCC: He tries to throw the rapier behind him, but he will release his grasp before the ripple reach the hilt.

 

[Rystil Arden]

*It still disappears into time, before it can even fly back very far. Also, by the time he turns back from looking at that to see the sunrod, the sunrod is gone too.*
