The Crux of the Matter

"Can someone explain why my rapier have dissapeared before the sunrod? Is it the material?" asks Rinaldo a bit confused. "And damned, that rapier might not be magical, but I had seen so much with it, too bad I lost it."

"Perhaps the Crux is capable to assess the danger posed by an object?" Ashnar offers, not quite believing that herself. "Or, seeing as we are dealing with time, perhaps the durability of the object somehow plays a role? ... No, I think then it'd have reacted differently, I think." She shakes her head.

"And damned, that rapier might not be magical, but I had seen so much with it, too bad I lost it."

(OOC: Yeah, I felt bad about that, so that's why I gave the option ;) Unfortunately, objects, unlike living beings, do not have life threads in the timeline, so unlike the others, it won't be returning if/when someone handles the Crux)

OOC: Bah, between a rapier and his life, Rinaldo is happy to keep his life. And he has a magical rapier waiting for him, and he bought it at 60% of the price :D

(OOC: Talking in combat doesn't take an action It is a bit ridiculous, but in LEW, my hand is forced to play strict RAW)
Not exactly true:

In general, speaking is a free action that you can perform even when it isn’t your turn. Speaking more than few sentences is generally beyond the limit of a free action.
I'd say that the speaking actually takes place during the character's other actions, and since rounds only last about 6 seconds, debating tactics or issuing complex orders or having detailed dialogues is probably "beyond the limit of a free action."

As judge, though, I think you should interpret it however you want, Rystil. I'm not enforcing, just advising. :) [/sblock]

(OOC: Hmm...the LEW page claimed a post today at 4:13, when no such post exists. KO2, is that a mod stealth bump? ;) I believe Rinaldo has gone but Hogarth and Ashna have not)

[SBLOCK=OOC]Oops, forgot Hogarth in all that speech.[/SBLOCK]

Hogarth draw his CLW wand and expand a charge on Ashnar. (6 hp healed, Ashnar is at 38 / 42)

(OOC: Right then!)

*Hogarth heals Ashna a little bit more. Then the oft-dying Evoker releases a Flaming Sphere which rolls towards the Crux, until it ripples and vanishes.*

"Alright...I see the next bead...let's make this count--time for a roquet!"

*She pulls her hand backwards and then makes a precise sweeping motion forward, and the stuck bead flies backwards and slams into the next bead coming up the stairs hard. They both explode in an impressive and extremely deadly (~40d6 counts as extremely deadly, I'm sure :]) blast, harmlessly farther down the stairs than can affect anyone.*

(OOC: Back to Rinaldo and Hogarth)
