Just a funny conversation between Bari and Dontella. The thread´s OOC, so I was not sure of where to post it. Or if I should. But, it can always be erased, I suppose. Anyway, enjoy!

Bari frowns, "Yeah, and she called me a duck when No Parents flung the nice flashy fire orb at me."
Bari points at himself, "Honestly, do I look like a duck?"
Dontella says, "Not at all.".
Dontella says, "you are a most fair and fine example of a hairfoot, as ever there was.".
Bari smiles, "Yeah, that's what I mean! Thanks. You don't look like a duck neither."
Dontella says, "I do try.".
Bari blinks!
Bari says, "To look like a duck!?".
Dontella says, "To not look like one.".
Bari says, "Oooohhh... so you are a duck, in real!".
Bari hits his forehead,
Bari says, "Now it makes sense!".
Bari says, "And you are a shape... shape...".
Dontella says, "Oh no no.. no I am an elf.".
Bari says, "Shapelifter!".
Dontella rests her hands on her knees, smiling lightly.
Bari sits, smirking, "Nay, don't worry, I won't tell anybody."
Dontella says, "And Kyra, as you have met her, is my elder sister.".
Bari says, "But I'm far to clever to not notice.".
Bari says, "Kyra's a duck too?".
Dontella laughs at the idea.
Bari says, "And Tess is some other brid! That's why her daughter uses crow names!".
Bari says, "You all are some bird mafia here!".
Dontella says, "mafia?".
Bari hits the table, smiling big, "Damn I'm sharp!"
Dontella says, "What is.. mafia?".
Bari lofts a brow, "Yeah, you know... mafia, as in... hm... of course, it's a Taliean word... "
Bari scratches his chin, "As in a gang?"
Bari says, "You know, a... clan, maybe? Yes, clan could work. A House, a Family.".
Dontella says, "Oh.. A family.".
Bari says, "A Family involved in active business.".
Bari sighs, "Never mind. Either I missed real bad, or you are pretending you don't know what I mean."
Dontella thinks for a moment.. looking serious.
Dontella says, "Mercanry band?".

Bari says, "Nay, just forget it.".
Bari scratches his chin, "Anyway, the last thing I thought is that you or Kyra were ducks, I mean... how did you
learn to talk so well?"
Bari 's eyes go wide in realization!
Dontella says, "Oh but we are not. Ducks. That was a confusion".
Bari says, "Ducks CAN talk!".
Bari facepalms, apparently not paying attention to Don, "All these years, tricked by the most harmless of avians!"
Bari says, "I can't believe it!".
Bari says, "You must hate us!".
Dontella blinks.
Dontella says, "Oh no..".
Bari says, "Yes!".
Bari says, "Taht's why Kyra wants Ghoul dead!".
Dontella shakes her head.
Dontella says, "But I am a pacifist.".
Bari points at her, "Because you know that Silverleaves love roasted duck!"
Bari says, "Yeah, ducks never attack... in public.".
Bari says, "I know now! Your feeble wall of lies was not enough to stop Bari's pierceing sight!".
Dontella says, "I.. huh?".
Bari looks at her, smirking some, "But don't worry, I'm not going to blow your cover." He winks.
Bari says, "Nor Kyra's. I can keep a secret.".
Bari says, "So... then tell me, are all elves ducks? Or is it just your guise?".
Dontella boggles.. rubbing her head
Bari says, "No, wait - now I know this...".
Bari blinks,
Bari says, "You won't send your big duck thugs to kill me, right?".
Dontella says, ".. oh.. no.".
Bari sighs relieved, "Phew!"
Bari . o O ( Unless she wants me to believe it, and then they'll kill me overnight! Damned duck conspiration! )
Bari shows her his hand, "Look, I, Bari Quickhands-Silverleaf, solemnly promise that I won't eat roasted duck or
any other form of cooked duck, from now on and for the rest of my life. There, you won't kill me now?"
Dontella puts her hand over her heart.
Dontella says, "I shall not.".
Bari phews! "Okay, now that's solved. I just hope Kyra doesn't kill me when she realizes I know she's a duck... "
Dontella says, "Perhaps don't tell her..that you know".
Bari says, "And are all elves ducks too?".
Bari says, "And what about half elves? They are.. half ducks?".
Bari 's eyes go wide,
Dontella says, "Uhm".
Bari says, "Because if they are, I SO hope the female was the human and the male the duck, otherwise....".
Bari says, "Ewwww!".
Bari says, "That'ld hurt. A lot.".
Bari says, "Damn.".
Bari nods sagely.
Bari says, "Anyway, tell me, how does it feel to fly?".

Dontella says, "oh.. uhm...".
Bari says, "Oh! Oh! can you fly in elf form too?".
Dontella says, ".. no.".
Bari hits the table (lightly) "Ah, damn. Hmm... I wonder if you taste the same in elf form... "
Bari says, "And wait! If here it's winter, why are you and Kyra still here? Aren't you supposed to migrate or something?".
Dontella says, ".. don't do that, as elves.".
Bari says, "Then... when you turn into elves, you cannot regain your duck form?".
Bari says, "That must be so sad, to be so different of the rest of your family!".
Dontella says, "Oh.. yes.".
