I was always amused by Wastri.... the god of bigotry and the superiority of humans, but he looks like his momma had a passionate affair with a bullfrog...
Ah, delusions of adequacy, if not grandeur. It’s not that surprising. Ever look at a picture of a chinless alpha from the internet man-o-sphere? Now you know why a number of them grow beards - to project a chin.

I'm partial to, uh, Zagyg.

Other than the obvious, these are some of my faves (no particular order):
Fharlanghn
Heironeous
Hextor
Incabulos
Istus
Nerull
Pholtus (as a jerk)
Trithereon
Wee Jas
Xan Yae
Zuoken

If you want to design your own deities, "The Book of the Righteous" is perhaps one of the best rpg books ever written period not just on that subject. It is for 3e but I think you could pretty easily migrate that part to any edition of D&D.

Book of the Righteous is a great book, for sure.

I'm not a fan of D&D pantheons in general, but I do really like Shadow of the Weird Wizard's default pantheon. Strong imagery, very trope-y, no weird proper names that sound like Pokemon.

Completely agree! I have both versions.

one of the things about the WoG is just how many of the semi-deities, demi-gods, and sometimes the gods themselves either live there or wander there. Iuz and Wastri, of course, St. Cuthbert is known to travel around as a tinker (I think my group encountered him once, but never got the DM to confirm it); Erythnul, Heironeous, and Hextor can appear on battlefields; Fharlanghn travels the roads; Ehlonna and Obad-Hai wander the forests; Olidammara might be found in the cities. Only the highest ones (Rao, Wee Jas, etc.) seem too busy to go slumming down on Oerth. The chances of running into a god on Oerth seemed to be uncomfortably high....
