If that were true, you wouldn't constantly be telling other people why they enjoy the games they do, and in dismissive if jargony terms, and in fact wouldn't be constantly engaging them just for having the temerity of suggesting that they, too feel agency as players. Or that they, too, consider their players to be "invested" and their gaming sessions to be "serious" or "authentic" or whatever. And you wouldn't always wait 40+ pages into a discussion to disclose, or have to disclose, that you are just talking about your own preferences and from your own experience.
