I remember thinking that Heckna! would be great to pull from to flesh out the carnival section of Wild Beyond the Witchlight, because surely they'll be available around the same time.
So the box arrived today. Since I couldn't remember what I selected in my pledge since it was roughly 3 years ago and I can't remember choices I made last week, I was a bit confused to open the box and find 2 GM screens, 2 decks of animated cards, as well as the deluxe box I thought I had backed. To add to my confusion about the duplicate screens and cards, I then opened the deluxe box to check out the book and found another GM screen inside.

On the plus side, the stuff I actually was expecting to receive looks pretty well made. 3 screens though? lol

Fulfillment problems all the way down, I guess.

Looking forward to hearing reviews of Heckna, now that it's finally out. I still think that monsters and spells from it could be nice add-ons to both the Witchlight and Ravenloft carnivals.

I'm looking forward to giving it a read and seeing what I can do with it now. I don't really plan to DM 5e again so it may just be something I mine for ideas. It definitely looks like something a lot of creativity went into, which generally is true of HPP material I've seen so far. I just wouldn't back another KS project of theirs after this one.

You all know what someone says on ENWorld is unlikely to make WotC change their future products, right? If someone says something you disagree with, there's a ceiling to how upset you should get about it, since at the end of the day, it's a largely powerless person expressing their opinion, not a plan of action coming out of a WotC conference call.

If I were in charge of D&D, there would be one elf race maybe. And since that won't ever happen, who cares?

Mostly because 1 voice, one view, can and does lead to an influence of more voices. For everyone that thinks X, if they are vocal enough, and can convince enough, well now it becomes a problem because we didnt stop that one idiot from saying X enough times.

And then before you know it, Pineapple.
