Just in case someone wants it for a bit of urban fantasy. From my recent trip to Seattle, the Freemont Troll.

And I'll see that troll with the seriously Cthulhu-Mythos-IP-impinging Thread City Crossing, aka The Frog Bridge, in Willimantic, CT.

The giant spools on the bridge harken back to the city's days as one of the textile giants of New England, but the four frogs are in tribute to one of the most famous battles of the French and Indian War, The Great Frog Battle of 1754...

That thing where I'm totally not caught up, and that one sounds interesting... but any reasonable use of past data would indicate exactly where it's going, and I'm long since tired of hearing that my favorite doesn't provide any of the good stuff*.

* by the definition of good stuff that will invariably arise.
 

Does anyone have any of the Atlas Obscura books? I have wondered if they would be a good companion to my Suppressed Frequency books to help pick out and flesh out weird locations for real-world games.

We have the main book. It's great for exactly that. No idea how useful the other books are.
Okay, now I need to look into this for my 1870s Mashup game. Suppressed Transmissions I and II (plus the uncollected articles) are the "series bible" for plots...
