That happened to be my first year of college, so the first time I got access to Telnet and Usenet (and tried out MUDs). Though, like Snarf, I was a regular on local dial-in BBSs for a few years before that, and walled garden Prodigy before that. That would roughly be when I got on the internet, via a service called Toronto Freenet. It was a text only dialup service that I primarily used for USENET access.
I skipped the programming languages (I guess really basic HTML, if that even counts) and stayed consumer-side.While I had dealt with BBSes and the like before, the first time I got really into the internet was with MUDs (specifically, LPMuds), which is also when I got really into C as a programming language.
Good times, for a very loose and counter-intuitive definition of "good."

Radio? Speaking of the 90s...
A couple of the restaurants I like play local radio. And after Thanksgiving, all it plays is Christmas music. I thought I was going to go insane.Oh... anybody else listen to local radio? You ever get that band you really really dislike coming to town and the station plays the crap out of it? I cant wait until that show passes and then the music can stop ruining the air!
Mine local station only does 1-2 days, but its all alternative Christmas music so none of the standards. Its pretty refreshing and just the right amount of play time.A couple of the restaurants I like play local radio. And after Thanksgiving, all it plays is Christmas music.
