Can't stand radio. I've also lost all patience for adds in the middle of shows. Radio isn't even a very good place to hear music you might not have encountered before. It is not only that I just don't see the point of radio any more but I'd rather drive in silence than listen to it on a long drive if I'm unable to play from my music streaming or pod cast app.
We had one great bastion of music in Toronto, now a sad shadow of its former self. CFNY "The Spirit of Radio" was originally based in a house in Brampton, the town where I live, which is a suburb of Toronto. I'd been to the house a couple of times when I won phone in contests from their AM radio affiliate, when I was in high school, to collect my prizes.

In those days they had a policy that if you heard the same song in a 24 hour period, you could call in to collect $102.10 as a reward. They played a wide range of music that no one else was playing at the time. Occasionally a DJ would put on something by a Pop Star, like Michael Jackson, only to "drag the needle" across it, a couple of bars in. (I put that in quotes because they were almost certainly using tapes, not vinyl.) As a result of this policy you would hear new music on a regular basis. I heard stuff from a multitude of countries as a result; not just Canada and the US. I think I introduced my high school to Split Enz because of CFNY.

They eventually went Top 40, then sort of came back to something similar to their roots, but you could hear the same songs several times in the same day. Their DJs annoyed me enough that I had long since given up on them, at that point, anyway.

Do you hate radio enough to steal their transmitting tower?

I will never not plug WDHA, 105.5, in Northern NJ. It's got a great selection of music, a real rarity around here in the last couple of years where it seems all of the other stations have been bought and changed to the Algorithm. Plus, the DJs don't talk too much!

I dunno, when you're being aggressive about a position, and the "evidence" you share is a blog post whose main source of information is the RPG Pundit's website, I think it's pretty fair to question your perspective
That's one of the short list of things that will get someone automatically dropped into my ignore list.
