It's amazing what a difference spin makes to some people.

"Here, let me show you something," he said, and he dumped his pack of peanuts into his bottle of root beer. Then after the fizzing had calmed down, he took a long drink from the bottle, making sure to get some of the salted peanuts along with it. "Ah, that takes me back," he said, chewing the peanuts. "Give it a try!"
I'm not the only person who added root beer and salted peanuts to their grocery lists just to try this, right?
 



Can these two often implied opinions ever be made to work together?

1. If the core books don’t detail the game exactly as I already run it and does not adhere to the over detailed lore of my homebrew or for a decades old setting with several iterations then they are bad.

2. If you don’t run the game as I interpret to be the rules as written then your game cannot be good or may not even exist and your are lying!
