I never knew until I just looked it up that the primary qualifications for being a "screed" was length, with the tediousness and/or unreasonably strong opinion part being secondary.

For something that has length, but positive instead of negative connotations, what is the noun form of Snarfian?

For a short one with the negative parts, is "diatribe" the best word?

Seriously. The first rule in every game book should be in big bold neon letters:

IF YOU’RE NOT HAVING FUN, STOP.

But what if I need fuel for my internet complaints?

I mean, if you have a bad time every game you play in, maybe you should stop playing. If you have a bad time every game you run, maybe you should stop running. A dozen people with decades of experience each are all trying to help you but you refuse to listen.

Why should I have to try? Haven't we established that everybody else is the problem? Here, read a blog post that breaks down the way people are wrong into six strati. If you still don't understand after reading that, you must be part of the problem, too.

Is there a cynical modern version of that slogan that replaces the "is" with "was" yet? Because I kind of feel like there should be.
