The smoke reaching all the way from the far north down to South Carolina today has me thinking of the "Report on the Weans" from the CBS Radio Workshop from 1956. Archaeologists from the future investigate the fall of civilization on a certain continent.

I don't know, looking okay here in New Jersey.

Arizona (!) capping more suburbs being built around Phoenix, because they won't have the water for them in the next century and even the areas of the US that are supposed to be more resilient to climate change, like the Midwest, getting blasted with wildfire smoke is a hell of a week for climate change.

And it doesn't get better from here.

So, I live in Canada, not far from 2 wildfires currently. Talking to people over the last few years as we see record temperatures, heat waves that kill people (ac wasn't needed up here till recently) and massive fires all the time, flooding...

I'm just waiting for the Big One, to wipe us out at this point.

You can smell the wildfires in Toronto, which is nowhere near them :(
